Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Bon Iver, Beck, Chance The Rapper, Lorde, Duran Duran, St. Vincent, Queens of The Stone Age
I'm so-so on Lorde, but all the rest are artists I'd like to see. Seeing St. Vincent on the What during sunset would be awesome.
You think Duran Duran would be billed that high? In my mind they are more Tears For Fears level.
Personally I'd also be excited to see Childish Gambino (What stage please). Hell I'd be excited to see Keith Stanfield as Darius quietly smoking weed and playing xbox in the cinema tent.
Well Duran Duran was #6 on Outside Lands this year; so yeah! I could see them getting a slot similar to Beach Boys or Lionel back in the day.
Gambino would be cool; but he has been at Roo 3 times in the last 6 years I think? I'd like to see someone new.
Darius in the comedy tent explaining the world to everyone and measuring trees around the farm tho plz!

Any of this undercard would make me regret skipping Roo next year...
Bon Iver Lorde Duran Duran Porter Robinson Dolly Parton The National The xx St. Vincent Explosions in the Sky James Blake Grimes Hot Chip Local Natives MGMT Animal Collective Feist MIA Chromatics Vic Mensa Danny Brown Death Grips Avalanches Bonobo Pogo
For my personal taste I would love to see The National, Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Interpol, Alt J, and Foals in the 5-10
I am down with all of those. Add in some Portugal. The Man and Phantogram.
I know Arctic was billed lower in 2014, but if they come back...they won't accept anything less than a headlining spot. Their next album will push them to headliner status.
So what is everyone's ideal, but realistic, numbers 5ish/6ish artists on the undercard? The artists that close Which or pre-HL What.
The Shins for me, IIRC James Mercer recently said LP5 would be out(perhaps officially announced?) in January, and he mentioned something about waiting until January because he wanted to be considered for Coachella. So I'm hoping that means The Shins are doing festivals this summer.
Also any of these for the rest of the tops spots and undercard would get me excited:
Lorde Chance the Rapper St. Vincent Justice Vampire Weekend (when their new LP comes out I'm guessing they upgrade to HL) Cage the Elephant Phantogram Hot Chip Schoolboy Q Beach House Grimes The Avalanches James Blake Danny Brown Local Natives Metric Crystal Castles
Really digging the new Lips song. Hoping that nashville date doesn't count them out. I don't think it will. Assuming they obviously get LN Which again, but is there any chance get get a spot on the what or just late night which and thats that?
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

Saint Motel just came out with her new album. I know they played last year (how was that btw?) but would there be a chance they would come back again? I know X-Ambassadors played 2 years in a row.

I thought their set was really fun! I am actually going to see them tonight at Webster Hall
I finally saw Sigur Rós this past Friday and all I can think about now is how I need to see them again.
I just can't get into 'em. My ol' roommate and two-time 'Rooer loves this band. He used to absolutely blast one of their albums in our apartment and I just couldn't stand it. Not that it's bad, but when all I can hear in the apartment is a thumpin' kick drum, atmospheric noise, and nonsense lyrics I grew to dislike them. He was supposed to wake us up fer their '08 LN set, but instead was a dick and didn't so I couldn't even give 'em a shot. Were they on the lineup and no conflicts I might give 'em a go, but they wouldn't help sell a ticket to me.
I have that whole 08 set on DVD if you want to give it a try.

You gotta report back on how it was. Other than Glass Animals they are probably my favorite band right now. These new songs should play SO well in a mid/small venue.

How did you like the glass animals show btw? New songs are crazy good live, right?

omg it was soooo good. They are so good at translating the songs from album to live seamlessly. Their stage set up added to it too, I am REALLY impressed with them all around. They seemed genuinely thrilled and taken aback when everybody knew the words to every song too. Ranks up there with my favorite shows of all time.

I'm thinking about going to see them next week, I quite enjoy Hippo Campus as well, the opening act! New Saint Motel album is great

I am on a Glass Animals Hiatus for awhile. seen them more times then I can count. Seems they come through Kansas City every other month.
I feel like glass animals is total indie radio slop that found their "edge" by adding some drum circle sounds they heard one time. they are just a more electro version of grouplove. (except somehow more boring)
bonnaroo should totally book them, the tent will be overflowing.

Yeah they're just the kind of mediocrity that thrives at Bonnaroo.

I really wish Roo would book Leonard Cohen and let him close Which or pre-headline What. His Coachella '09 performance is one of my all time favorite festival memories.
