To counter the folk acts, any new guesses for metal this year? Currently, these seem to be the acts whoring the US tour scene enough to, theoretically, not be lured away by the Euro fests: Between the Buried and Me Devin Townsend Amon Amarth Megadeth Anthrax Cannibal Corpse Cavalera performing "Roots" Ghost
Anthrax and Megadeth would fit the Slayer spot well. Amon Amarth is already booked for a Euro in August but seems determined to build their American following more. Cavalera is the interesting one for me. Closer to Sepultura than the current lineup of Sepultura and doing Roots in full would be an interesting LN tent. Ghost is gonna happen eventually. Can't decide if Devin Townsend would fit Roo or not but, surprisingly, they're co-headlining their current tour with BTBAM so there's a fanbase there somewhere.
Cannibal Corpse would be fucking incredible. I want to check out that Caverela performing Roots too.
the orwells just dropped a new single off their new album, and its really good IMO. saw them a couple years ago and they are a ton of sloppy fun in small venues, no idea how they are in a fest setting. would love to see them in FIDLAR's spot.
And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know you realize that life goes fast - It's hard to make the good things last-you realize the sun doesn't go down - It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round

They just played Nashville and I wanted to go, but had other commitments.
Out of that list, Neon Indian and Local Natives are the two that make the most sense. Neon hasn't played since 2010, but I guess it depends if he tours next summer.
Metal//heavier acts that deserve a spot: Touche Amore, Thrice, Every Time I Die, Russian Circles, Converge, The Hotelier, Preoccupations,
Well we know that Bob Moses will most probably not be playing since he just played this year. Would Phantogram be possible since Big Grams was this year?

I could see phantogram happening. I don't see them late night like big grams though.

Oh man that show was so much fun. I would love them to have a late night set due to the lights they use but I think you are probably right.

Chromeo has been in the studio quite a bit recently (via their snapchat). I would think if they are going to drop new music next year they certainly should be a contender.

Even if we only got a couple of these I would be so happy.

Brand New would be a great get for Roo. They've played Coachella and Lolla over the last two years and both sets got pretty high praise. I just saw them here in Rochester, NY tonight: they played TDAGARIM in full and about 8 other grab bag tracks. Something like 7:30-8:45 in a tent would be awesome or if we are really lucky...a LN tent set. Idk if they would be on Which.
After listening to her new album, specifically that song "Best Friend"....she's probably anti-Livenation or any other corporation owned fest. But I hope she's at Roo or whatever fest I end up at.

I want to personally thank you for posting this. I didn't know they released a new song and it's fucking awesome... I hope they come back and play on that tiny stage again

I say this every year but give string cheese the which for late night and let them do what they do best. Then let the some shitty edm play the other night.

I've been wanting to see cheese for a long time now so this would make me so happy.

I've never listened to String Cheese so I'm not particularly qualified to say this. But Sigur Ros would be better

I've only heard a handful of String Cheese live tunes, but I will take them over the (I think, as they all sounded the same to me) 2-3 albums one of my old roommates would always listen to from Sigur Ros.
