Damn, I feel for this festival. I respect them for not cancelling, given that a majority of the booked lineup makes it to Miami to perform, but there's gonna be a shitstorm of people who paid just to see LCD, of which I'm sure there were a ton.
Fucked if you do, fucked if you don't. Worst case scenario is that other acts don't make it to Miami, in which case I'd fear for the fest's future. Hopefully there's enough transparency so people don't travel and not get what they're expecting.

Was one of them. Truly bummed and don't blame III Points, but LCD had a week between ACL sets to get there gear down here. Hell I think the whole III Points audience would have paid for them to fly first class down to Miami from Austin (or wherever else) to get to us.
Hope III Points can make some magic and get a 2nd show set up with them, possibly during Art Basel.
Looks like the hurricane is just skirting the coast, but still think I'll be headed down tomorrow just to avoid the potential heavy winds on the interstate. A little sad about missing Vince Staples, Oneohtrix Point Never and Dixon, but Saturday and Sunday had my favorite lineups overall.

The lack of communication from this fest is pretty frustrating. No announcements for OPN or Pantha Du Prince cancelling. No new schedule for today. But we get an email saying the sun is shining and to buy tickets. I'm really looking forward to this, but its weird that they've been so quiet.

Well fuck me sideways with a rusty nail....this kinda sucks. Definitely would like better communication from III Points, although it seems like they did what they could to make the LCD set work.

This. I obviously don't blame them for LCD, but the communication could clearly be better. I've been checking all day for an updated schedule.
Chrome Sparks is replacing OPN on the main stage at 10PM. I only know cause he tweeted it, not because the festival actually updated anyone of the schedule change.
Got to see Sophie -> Machine Drum -> Vince Staples -> Kink -> Satori. I called it a night early because my friends left after Vince and I figured it'd be a good idea to get some rest since with it being the first day and the fest going so late. I like all of the shows, though most of my friends weren't too crazy about Sophie. Vince Staples was easily my favorite show of the night though. It proved that the III points crowd will mosh, so I'm extra excited for Thee Oh Sees tonight now!
