Despite the weather circumstances, The Cure can stay away if they want to pull the shit they pulled at Sasquatch. Could be exaggerated reporting but t sounds like they weren't happy with their crowd size at Sasquatch and cut their set off 45 minutes early. Their current performances are playing 4 encores for fucks sake and they can't suck it up for a short set?

The articles I just pulled up were all lined with positive things? Can you share one of the articles? Or are these campsite rumblings and such
It can get pretty windy up there though. I was at a show last summer that was cut short because of the wind

I know one was from Yahoo and I'm not sure about the other. I've seen some positive reviews about the performance too which confuses me. Not sure how any set is considered quality if it ends 45 minutes early though? Would love clarification from someone was there. Looks like on the Squatch thread that this was the last year for the fest.
i dont wanna live in a world where the weeknd is billed above beck and the strokes
*and ELO
You're living in it.
i'm gonna challenge that. he was billed 5th (technically 4th) on ACL and 6th on lolla in 2015, and he hasn't really gotten any bigger since fall. Let alone big enough to be top 3 on a roo lineup IMO. maybe if he drops a couple more hit singles this summer but I dont think him having that dumbass #1 booking on the hangout lineup justifies putting him above the strokes or beck. even if he does charge "mccartney money".

He's the biggest "pop" artist in the world right now. He'd be billed above Beck and The Strokes in any major music festival. Beck and The Strokes are questionable Bonnaroo headliners as it is now. The Weeknd would draw more than both of them.

Have we reached the point where Arcade Fire could be considered a #1 headliner? I figured they would be a lock for the #2 spot if booked for 2017. Then again, maybe Bonnaroo's booking budget will take a big hit after this year.

They're one of, if not the biggest modern rock band in the world at this point. Barring a legacy act they're a #1.
