Who would the other two headliners be?
To be honest I couldn't think of a good fit at #2 so I went with my favorite band haha. If they put out a well received album before 2017 maybe
I think Beck > Skrillex back to back on what would be good though. We can probably throw Fleet Foxes or Bon Iver in there as one of the subheadliners too.
Also when are we thinking the White Stripes come back? I'm assuming it'll be a few more years since Jack recently toured all the big fests.
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts

I wouldn't be surprised if they hit the North American festival circuit pretty hard next year. They largely skipped North America on their festival run in 2014.
Lets be real though, Queens of the Stone Age would be a way better #2 act than Arcade Fire.
Helllllll no. Especially not for me because I've seen QotSA and I don't like them half as much as I like AF, though they were pretty good. Besides, the highest Queens of the Stone Age would get billed is 5th.
But that post about Fleet Foxes and Bon Iver reminded that neither of them are out of this world choices. If Bon Iver plays, they headline though. My only problem is picking an (interesting) older act to play Sunday (which they've apparently decided is mandatory with the Dead this year.) Otherwise, Arcade Fire - Gorillaz - Bon Iver would be awesome

Josh Homme has more talent in his big toe than all of AF put together. Also there has been an act that people were sure couldn't headline that ends up headlining every year that I've gone to Bonnaroo. Bonnaroo booking the Gorillaz doesn't make much sense to me.
Bon Iver could be 4th and play before Skrillex late night what. I think Fleet Foxes are more likely though and would sub. Justin seems more interested in his Eaux Claires than making new music at this point, although they could both put something out by next summer. Robin has made it very clear he's working on the third FF album though.

Did I say AF is more talented than QOTSA? No. I know how skilled everyone in QOTSA is and I respect them and enjoy their music but I absolutely love Arcade Fire. I agree with you about Bon Iver and Justin being more into his own thing right now, but if they made a new album, I feel they'd be billed third. I didn't realize Robin had outright said they're working on the new album, that's awesome to hear! Fleet Foxes would be perfect for Pre-Headlining the Which on Sunday night and I hope that happens. Why would Roo booking Gorillaz not make sense? They've had mainstream success, critics love em, they kick ass, and they'll have a new album. I don't think it will happen cause Roo tends to blow it on acts that good but it could certainly happen.

i dont see Skrillex ever becoming top 3 for bonnaroo. only EDM artist who can pull a top 3 is CH.
also if i could bring back 4 headliners within reason it would definitley be Radiohead - Arcade Fire - Jay Z - Vampire Weekend - Pretty Lights

Why can't Skrillex be top 3? Would you count Daft Punk as EDM?
whoops forgot about DP. i guess i consider them EDM ive just wired my head to not even think to expect them unless word comes out of an official tour. and skrillex has reached peak popularity, especially with JACK U. he really cant get much bigger than he is right now unless he completely changes his style of music. i just really think that the only type of EDM that will get booked to headline is the type of garbage CH puts out.
