Together? Like Beyonce & Jay Z as one set? Because adding Lemonade to that setlist is going to make things a little more awkward
He has a response album coming. Then I'm sure they will have a huge tour together. It's good marketing from a good songwriter and entertainer.
Latest I saw it was a collaboration album with both of them. But definitely was supposed to be a response from him according to rumors.
Apparently Jay-Z was aware of all the songs/lyrics on Lemonade and it was fans/media who were quick to jump to "it's written in a song so it has to be true and FUCK JAY-Z FOR CHEATING!".
Jay Z & Beyonce would be the biggest headliners Bonnaroo has gotten in a while, at least since 2014. Hmmmmm imagine Jay Z & Beyonce and Radiohead as two of our headliners next year......wait no I'm not getting delusional hopes up again.
Speaking of "the right undercard" I'm sitting here listening to Day of the Dead and getting pissed off about how badly they squandered booking the Dead. This would have been a primo opportunity to tap into the Grateful Dead's growing appeal outside of the wook circles and book some of these crossover bands that were influenced by the Dead but are also a draw in their own right. Instead they just stove piped some "other stuff that will appeal to Deadheads" without trying to create anything dynamic.
And there are a lot of good covers in that album, too. It's not like these are bands that phoned it in.

My ONLY concern if they got Jay-Z & Beyonce as a packaged deal is that it would cost so much money for them that the rest of the card would be total garbage
This is mainly due to how Billboard now counts music streams into their charts, which skews favor toward artists with big albums like Drake's. I agree he's super popular, but definitely not the biggest name in music. Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Adele, and others still have him beat.
Right now he is the biggest, it'll change again in a month, but right now, today, Drake is the one in the spotlight.
I don't know about that. There's one act out there who sold out her entire world tour (consisting of multiple nights/cities) in a matter of minutes. I don't care how hot Drake is this week, he ain't doing that.

Who is that? Not Beyonce, since her show still hasn't sold out here for next week.
Ugh, still hate her. I also haven't heard anything about her in weeks, so I wouldn't really say she's having her moment right now. When hello came out I completely agree it was huge, but no one is talking about Adele right now.

Beyonce and Jay Z would never happen. It would be too big.
Jay is in the top 3 headliners I've seen at Roo and his show was a massive spectacle. His star power combined with Beyonce's would collapse the What Stage like a black hole.
It finally hit me today that I won't be attending roo when a song came on that was huge during my first roo in '13 (by a band I'm not really a big fan of) and oh how sad that realization is. I'm praying that a roo doesn't blow the lineup again. This year, the headliners were 100% fine by me and I would've been at all of those shows if the rest of the lineup had justified the price.
But, I just need Gorillaz and Arcade Fire. If they can just get those two and put together a decent undercard and enough of my friends go, I can justify going to Roo. Give me:
Arcade Fire - Gorillaz - Lana Del Ray - Avett Brothers
I can live with that and they can have AF & Gorillaz play Friday/Saturday and then Lana -> Avett Sunday and I can leave early. Also, a realistic idea is for them to do like they did last year with Deadmau5 but get a combo of like, Vampire Weekend and Pretty Lights and have PL with his full band (I say this because of his upcoming mini-fest things)

My friend the other day had this same realization and msg'd me about it and I was sad that I wasn't going but I just didn't have anyone that was thrilled about the lineup enough to commit to going so I'm just going to Bunbury in Cinci and waiting until next year rolls around. All of those options would be fine by me. I think any of that combo would get people who were on the fence and didn't decide to go this year to go next year.
