My wish list 1. Radiohead 2. Coldplay 3. Skrillex 4. Pretty Lights with Live band 5. Flaming Lips 6. Empire of the Sun 7. James Blake 8. Chance the Rapper 9. Zhu 10. Big G 11. Alina Baraz 12. Beck 13. Classixx 14. Earl sweatshirt 15. Kaytranada
Guessing a year in advance can be difficult. Radiohead rarely does 12+ month tours, I don't see them being around next year, same with Beyonce. Gaga is putting a new album out at the end of 2016, same with U2.
What active classic rock (pre-1986) headliners are left? Stones, Who, ACDC, The Cure, GnR, Gilmour, Waters...
Not sure The Who can hold down a headlining spot, Daltrey's voice is shot. The Cure could be a realistic option. I just don't see The Stones playing, AC/DC is likely done after this tour, Gilmour can barely fill theaters, and Waters has been touring the same show for 10 years. GnR are reportedly going to hit Australia/Asia in Jan-Feb and there's rumors they're going to put out an EP in early 2017 before doing one more round of North America.

According to somebody Daltry had vocal surgery and can belt again.

Well that somebody was wrong. I seen them 2 weeks ago here in Minneapolis and it was not pretty.

Can verify. I saw them a few months back and it was great! Pete's voice was pretty rough but overall it was a great show. I imagine they would be great headlines

Haha, seems we are at an impasse. Honestly though they'd probably headline if they played. Maybe a split headliner with some late night EDM business. If Plant was touring as Zep I think he'd have headlined.
I haven't seen Waters since 02 or 03 so I'd totally be up for another round even if it was the same set list.

Not sure if Gilmour part is a joke, but he just sold out arenas. Waters has done two tours in the last 10 years, both celebrating different albums with different setlists. His Newport show was also a completely different setlist. Not sure what you're on about there. We'll have to wait for Oldchella to see what he'll do for a more traditional headlining gig.

It's probably not long enough to fill a whole headlining slot, but seeing Roger Waters do The Wall at Bonnaroo with the full arena production he's used in the past would be mandatory pit.

Throw in an encore of other Floyd classics and you have the rest of the set. Unfortunately that ship has almost definitely sailed

Oh noooo! Not this topic again.. You're right though Gear. He's a certified arena act.

So is Aerosmith the only 30+ year act I didn't think of? Morrisey wouldn't headline. Duran Duran? Hard to tell which of these early 80s hitmakers remain/have returned big enough to headline.
