I think once AC/DC finishes the dates they have scheduled, they won't try and continue touring. The backlash from their fans would be so enormous compared to what it is now.

Yeah cause no band has ever continued on after making personnel decisions that upset their fanbase

I'm just saying that those shows won't sell. AC/DC fans aren't going to buy expensive tickets to a stadium show to see a cover band. It's their right to try, but I just don't see it becoming a full-fledged tour with festival dates like Bonnaroo.
Hoping for something like: radiohead - jay z - beck* - widespread panic. Radiohead is doing the small tour this year and if they follow previous patterns will do a big tour next year. There are few rumors in the mill regarding Jay Z album and tour in 2017. Random guess with Beck here; could be something EDM instead. Lastly, I could see Widespread playing roo before going on hiatus in 2017.
What would make me excited for next year would be a big name that I haven't yet seen. U2, Roger Waters, the Stones, Paul Simon (with or without Art), The Police. Just one and I'll be stoked. I know Radiohead was several years ago now, but I'm fine with waiting another couple.

Its funny you mention paul simon and the police. Paul Simon and sting are actually on tour together right now, and all indications are that a reunion with their former band member(s) will never happen.

DMB - Coldplay - Drake
With taking a tour hiatus next summer, they could possibly book a few headline gigs like they did a few years back. The other two, I just feel like we're due.
I can imagine this is a pass for a lot of people around here...
Ugh, the police were maybe the worst nostalgia headliner in Roo history.
Oh no, they were without question the worst. kittymld and Rat Tomago The Police were responsible fer me attendin' my first 'Roo, but that was the worst show that year, and one of a handful of shows I've ever walked away disappointed from.

Exhibit A against: The Who post-2001.
My emphasis is really on the singer. Without Daltrey/Johnson, the band goes from playing stadiums and large arenas to smaller venues like sheds or casinos. If you're a fan of Angus Young/ Townshend, the show will be good but you're missing the singer of some of the most popular rock songs ever.

3/11 - Kid Rock - Gary Busey. Under-card will include Chris Angel. The Brewer's tent will be curated by Miller Light. On-sight additional ticketmaster fees depending on how close to the What stage you would like to get all weekend (fees rising in cost esp for Kid Rock). Dogs and cats eating each other in a brutal display of naked capitalism. Zombie apocalypse begins Thursday at 12pm when there are shit tons of people milling about the arch waiting to NOT walk under it to get into the fest.

The two best members of the Who are dead and Daltry has no pipes left. They were absolutely terrible at the Super Bowl halftime show. I'd rather see a Who cover band than the currently touring actual Who

I saw them in March and that halftime show definitely does not represent the quality of the band. I'm just confused to why AC/DC thinks their fans would want to see anyone but Brian be the lead singer. Maybe replacing the lead singer is the new norm for bands that are getting older but I find it tacky and a cash grab.

Since that halftime show Daltrey has vocal chord surgery to help restore his voice. By all accounts it has helped significantly. If I remember correctly it was the same doctor who had previously worked on Steven Tyler to astounding effect. Anyways, as a huge Who fan, I wouldn't pay the large ticket price since Entwhistle and Moon have passed.

I hate to break it to you but AC/DC's lead singer died 36 years ago. They still seem to be cruising right along.
I'm glad to hear Daltry got surgery and can sing again. Still, best two members are dead

Wow! Sorry to hear that!
I'm one of 7 people who enjoyed it apparently. The crowd I was in was deeply into it so that probably helped me enjoy it.
A wishlist of 10... 1. RATM 2. Rolling Stones 3. Roger Waters performing the wall, full scale. I am not sure how you pull this off. 4. Pearl Jam, again 5. Dr. Dre 6. Smashing Pumpkins (with original line up) 7. Phish 8. The Cure 9. Neil Young 10. GNR
And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
