So gangster shell = skin color here, right? Because I don't think Kendrick could really help what color his 'gangster shell' is, sorry. I'm trying to find a way to read this that isn't racist, but frankly I'm struggling.
I just want to know why white dudes singing about getting laid and getting high is okay, but a black dude rapping about getting laid and getting high isn't.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

"But what am I supposed to do with the blinking of red and blue Flash from the top of your roof and your dog has to say woof And you ask, “Lift up your shirt” cause you wonder if a tattoo Of affiliation can make it a pleasure to put me through Gang files, but that don’t matter because the matter is racial profile I heard them chatter: “He’s probably young but I know that he’s down” Step on his neck as hard as your bullet proof vest He don’t mind, he know we’ll never respect, the good kid, m.A.A.d. city"
Widespread Panic’s JoJo Hermann has revealed that the band is planning to cease extensive touring after this year. In an interview with the Clarion-Ledger in Mississippi, Hermann said, “We’re really wearing it out this year because we’re basically going to call it touring-wise after this year; we’re not going to tour anymore.”
The Ledger goes on to say that Hermann that the band is not “breaking up or retiring” and “will continue to play shows at places like New Orleans Jazz Fest and at Red Rocks.”
“We’re still all brothers and still going to play together,” Hermann says. “It is really not that big of a deal, I don’t think. It’s part of life. I’ll go home and figure out what I’m going to do for the rest of my life. I will probably go back to [Oxford, MS’s] Proud Larry’s and set up a piano.”

I love that they say they will still continue to play at places like JazzFest and Red Rocks.

That cracked me up as well...pretty much saying "We are hoping a few festivals and venues will overpay for us since we are not playing every night of the week like we have for the past few years."
One of those bands that I try to catch if they are at a festival I am attending but wouldn't pay to see an individual show.
