the thing i hate most about dmb is all the people that refer it to it as just dave. yea dave's name in on the band, but to me he's the least talented member.
I wouldn't agree that he's the least talented member, but what does it really matter? Who gives a sh*t what I call it?
If you need to hear me say it, Carter and LeRoi were the most talented musicians in the band. Did I gain my indie cred back?

Any late night shows need to be inside the dance tent or Hangout restaurant, because that's how they get around the curfew. So they'll probably stick with the EDM stuff.

i like EDM and all but I hope they have something more organic as well. either way it doesn't break my heart, i'm fine driving back to my house after the headliner finishes. 12 hours on the beach is usually enough for me.
One of the conditions for having the fest again this year was that there would be no late night acts because the city wanted to cut down on all the "loitering" people and droogies roaming around all spunionized. I personally think Hangout agreed to it just to get permits and the go ahead and will have their way again this year. TONY CLIFTON needs to make a late night return. He was the absolute highlight of the festival last year, hands down. A ween late night in the tent would be amazing as well.
I am likely going to this fest as a press member. Can anyone offer thoughts on the logistics for press pass folks last year?
My friend had one last year. It didn't offer too much more than a regular pass. (Besides the obvious - free entry) He was able to go into a small press area that had drinks and snacks. (We were also able to get into that without much effort. I'm very sneaky.) I believe there was also a press entrance that he could have gone in. This would be good because the regular entry lines can be long.

Prince is more plausible since he still tours pretty regularly. If the money and the timing are right, I could see that happening. I think he'd be a great fit for Hangout, actually. Still a long shot, though. No way in hell Hangout gets Bowie.
