Their last picture said "One more headliner revealed this week"...are they referring to just a few hours from that post, Pablo's 6 AM CST announcement, or are they really gonna stretch this thing out all week? Maybe they're gonna play their last headliner close to the vest so they can reveal it once Bonnaroo announces the lineup announcement to try to steal a bit of Roo's thunder.

I need to check and see if I'm off that weekend. I may have to make it out to Bama and do some hangin' out. There's a lot of stuff I couldn't care less about but more than enough to justify a weekend on the beach.
I hate to say it but I'm a little meh on the lineup. There are some great acts I would love to see but also some that I want run far away from. It just seems rather incomplete. Jack White is the most exciting thing for me. Steve Winwood makes me want to take an ice pick to the skull. The top of the lineup is not even in the same ballpark as last year. Maybe the additional headliner will help.

Feel free to sleep in. I have no other names than those listed. I have been beaten to the punch....least it was by the Fest itself!

Some of those acts I would want to run from will just provide some well needed crowd thinning at the shows I want to see. Chances are Mac Miller fans won't want to see Dr Dog or Gary Clark. You noticed several different demographics of people at Fun Fun Fun. That was one of my favorite festival experiences ever.
I count 44 bands so far so we probably have 12-20 bands remaining but here is the list so far. Some of it REALLY excites me. Strangely Randy newman is one that I'm looking forward to. Such happy music yet I'd never pay to see him otherwise.
Flaming Lips Jack White Flogging Molly Dave Matthews Band Michael Franti Cage The Elephant G. Love and Special Sauce Wilco String Cheese Incident Randy Newman Steve Winwood Dawes Coheed & cambria Chris Cornell Alabama Shakes STS9 Gary Clark Jr. Paul Oakenfold Futurebirds Hey Rosetta Mavis Staples M. Ward Shpongle Big Freedia Young the Giant Tribal Seeds Jamie Bergeron Paper Diamond Rich Aucoin Switchfoot Dispatch The Lumineers The Devil Makes Three Zeds Dead Julian Marley Archnemesis YelaWolf Sleeper Agent GoGol Bordello Dr. Dog Skrillex Rebelution Allen Stone Mac Miller
Thought there weren't gonna be any repeats from last year? I'm about sick of lame ass Michael Franti. STS9 is meh as well.
BIG FREEDIA on the beach.......f yea!! Can't wait to see all the girls on the beach shakin' that azz!
Lineup was definitely better last year, but I'm sure the fest itself will be better this year. I'm gonna have a great time regardless. Got my hetty condo booked during this fest last year, and this is a lot of good music for the $50 I paid for it.
YEAHHH!!! Those of you that are not feeling it, are crazy. I am so glad that I added this to my fests this year. I just spent 45 minutes reviewing the last five pages of this and catching up on mafia and I REALLY need to get ready for work.. I'll come back and say more later.

Are you REALLY excited for Big Freedia? I walked in on his set by chance at BOMBfest last year and literally was rendered speechless. And not in a good way.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

Wait .. is Big Freedia on the line up?!?
Now we HAVE to get him.

I think last year's lineup was maybe a little better overall, but there's still good stuff here. Randy Newman and Big Freedia are nice surprises, and I'm pleased with Jack White and Wilco up near the top. Skrillex and Mac Miller are unfortunate, especially when paired with DMB, but I'm not that worried. They've scheduled this fest perfectly the last two years, so I'm sure I can just check out M. Ward or something while the bro-dawgs are tweaking out to Skrillex.
Big Freedia is the bounce queen of NOLA...... Nola Bounce is one of my guilty pleasures. It's just so much fun live. "she got some summers eve, she got some massingil, she keep her body clean..."
For those of you who already reserved a condo through one of the partnered rental companies....talk to your fence-sitting buddies immediately. Most places let you purchase 4 tickets along with your condo rental, and you should be able to call them up and add passes to your bill before they hit general sale on Friday. This thing will probably sell out fast.
I was expecting the line up to stink, but was pleasantly surprised. But what had me screaming this morning was Flogging Molly on the lineup!!!! I was disappointed they weren't going to be near enough to me for their Green 17 tour and I would miss them this year. Then this!!!!! And that line Caddy cracked me up, going to have to see what Big Freedia is about. See y'all there!
Oh forgot one thing....What's the state park/camping area near Hangout that some folks stay at? I think it's on the FL side of the festival somewhere. Thanks.
Pajara- Big Freedia is a NOLA transexual that play hyper repetitive music that has the sole purpose of making girls (and boys) shake their asses uncontrollably. It's a strange thing. Every bounce show I go to I literally cannot stop laughing to the point of tears. Those lyrics are from the Mr. Ghetto song "Wally World", look it up on youtube. It's a gureillia video shot in Walmart in New Orleans that generated some controversy for obvious reason.
My immediate thought of Big Freedia at Hangout was that it will be way more explicit (crowd wise) than Girl Talk in 2010. Adding Bikinis into the mix and it's gonna get nassssty
It's not that the line-up is bad. There's just nothing that really jumps out at me.
My thoughts exactly. I'm totally meh on this lineup... and it's chock-full of epic talent, but I've seen most all of them already. The few I haven't will probably be on the farm, so I can't justify the expense of the condo just to see 1 or 2 acts. (sorry, Bonzai! )
And really? Randy Newman & Steve Winwood? WTF?!? They must be trying to appeal to the wine-sippin' condo owners...
