Bassnectar was in a tent last year so I'm guessing Skrillex will be too.
Skrillex is much larger than Nectar was last year...or even this year. He's brought EDM into the mainstream essentially. I can't see them sticking him in the Boom Boom Room.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
I love this festival and all but I am having serious doubts right now.
This lineup already destroys last year's. Sure you might not like some of the additions like Skrillex or Mac Miller but this lineup is incredibly diverse and STACKED. I'm calling this festival sold out in less than 24 hours after they go on sale.

I love a lot of the acts announced so far, but Paul Simon they ain't. I respectfully disafuckingree.
DMB and Skrillex....wow, I'm not going to be the only one in a frat tank this year lol
Right now, it looks like a fun weekend if I can afford it. I think all the criticism it's going to receive is warranted, this is looking less and less like a cohesive festival. Is there such a thing as too diverse?
I know Metallica is a long shot... but they are a big enough to tell Hangout when to make the announcement about them. A week + break is long enough for them to hop over to the states for a weekend at the beach.

Man I was really down on this festival... Then Lips darkside, with 12 of my closest friends, on the beach, some who missed it in roo 10. Could be priceless. I still would like to see a few more good adds.
I had a lot higher expectations, several good acts so far, but the top seems weak IMO.
Are you kidding me?
Dave Matthews Band - Jack White Wilco - String Cheese Incident - Steve Winwood - The Flaming Lips Dispatch - STS9 - Gogol Bordello - Skrillex - Chris Cornell - Paul Oakenfold - Michael Franti - Randy Newman - Mac Miller - Flogging Molly - Cage The Elephant - Coheed & Cabria - M. Ward - Dawes - G. Love and Special Sauce - Mavis Staples - Dr. Dog - Young The Giant - Julian Marley - Yelawolf - Switchfoot - Zeds Dead - Shpongle - Paper Diamond - Gary Clark Jr. - Alabama Shakes - Rebelution - Archnemesis - Tribal Seeds - The Lumineers - Sleeper Agent - The Devil Makes Three - Futurebirds - Big Freedia - Alien Stone - Jamie Bergeron - Hey Rosetta! - Rich Augoin
It would be a very strong lineup for a middling jam-friendly festival like, for instance, Summer Camp, but for a fest like Hangout that is trying to establish itself in the second-tier level of festivals like Sasquatch, that lineup looks positively brutal so far. Waaaaay too many names that just won't connect with a lot of people.
That said, the full thing hasn't come out yet, so we'll have to wait and see.
