I was just coming in to post this. Like this is not shocking at all. They have not toured together as original members in 14 years for a reason. Also, if my bandmate punched me in my face like that, I guarantee, I would never talk to that mother fucker ever again and if I did we'd be swinging.

Alright, we've gotta talk about Conor Oberst. Only two shows into the tour and he's already sounding like this:
I know he's always had his drunken nights and has a handler on tour, but if it's already this bad, I'm legitimately afraid this man is going to hurt himself. Definitely makes me feel better about not buying a pricey ticket for the intimate show here next month (I have a ticket for January, though), but it really hurts to see someone you admire struggle like this. The term "tortured genius" comes to mind. I've seen both great and bad Bright Eyes shows, and the nights when Conor's locked in, he crushes that stage. But performances like this one aren't amusing, they're just saddening.

This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
I never did see the Grateful Dead, but I saw the Jerry Garcia Band with Keith & Donna Godchaux, Furthur, and Bruce Hornsby.
It appears that history is repeating itself with another band, which I may never see fully together onstage, but this is one hell of a consolation prize and if it turns out to be my last concert of the year, I'll be very happy that it's the punctuation mark on my 2024 concert calendar.
(Can't speak to other shows, but the Somerville, MA show has artist and Spotify presales in the next two days and Bowery Boston regular onsale on Friday)
