For anyone in North Carolina, especially near the triangle, you should know that there's a show at Ponysaurus brewery this Saturday that's a fundraiser for ACLU -- his golden messenger, Mount Moriah, and megafaun are on the billing... But also I discovered from one of the bartenders that the special guest appearances include Justin Vernon and Sam beam. All for $20

Their new song is absolutely fantastic, which makes it all the worse that Ohio and Pittsburgh were left out. I would definitely bet on additional US dates getting announced in the coming months though.
This event looks fantastic. But I don't know if I wanna pay $90+ fees for it.
HYTE lineups are usually pretty good, but their American events tend to go a bit poorly. I heard NY's summer event last year was poorly organized and a few artists didn't show. I went to HYTE Miami during MMW in March and thought it was pretty underwhelming, with crappy sound, mediocre sets from normally fantastic artists (that was my third time seeing both Maya Jane Coles and Black Coffee and thought their sets were unusually weak) and forgettable production.

Oh man, that looks awesome. If I were in NYC, you can bet I'd be there.
Ugh, that's the other thing. I don't know anyone that'd be interested in going to this. I mean, I go to shows by myself almost always, but this one I need to think about for a while.

I know the venue a little bit, I think they used to hold events at a "beach club" near the entrance of Governors Island, which is few minutes away from Manhattan with a great view of the downtown skyline. This year it says "New Location at Gov Island", so maybe they fixed their production? I don't know and I hope so, because this lineup is very good.

Kelly Lee Owens & John Talabot is such a smart double header booking; I hate everyone in Toronto and Seattle. If only I were moving two months earlier.
