Two years straight of managers making dumbass pitching decisions that may have cost their team a trophy.
Ya it’s easy to see dumbass moves in a checkers match. Take out the DH and it becomes a great argument of when to lift a pitcher for a pinch hitter or to trust the arm to maintain a small lead. Where does it stop with inforoo? Shouldn’t we consider another DH for all the weak hitting defensive shortstops? Or designated runners for all the big slow first basemen? I mean who wants to watch that? They can’t run any better than some pitchers hit. 🤔
I’m a purist. I still wade through the mud next to the Which ditch bridge rather than walk over it like some Change Nazi. I still crap in a Porto over a mountain of shit with a needle sticking out of it. What kind of person uses newfangled flushable when traditional late night Roo portos are available?
I think I just made your point for you. Screw it. Universal DH—and to think they were making strides shortening the game length times—and let everyone but last place team in each division in the playoffs.

I meant of the White Sox, really. Knew you were a Bulls fan, but wasn't sure/couldn't remember where your allegiance was in baseball. But you've answered that and the follow up lol.
Apparently the White Sox PR department accidentally used AJ Hinch's signature in their press release announcing the La Russa signing. Not sure how that happens, unless they were considering signing Hinch as well? Even then, pretty weird.

I'm a Dodger fan in a family of White Sox fans (it's complicated and PTSD-related, so not gonna elaborate).
Insanely idiotic hire and I agree if I were Hahn I would consider resigning. Jerry needs to let his kids take over or sell the team but that's not going to happen because he's an entitled billionaire.

Chicago White Sox manager Tony La Russa was charged with driving under the influence after he allegedly ran his car into a curb in February, leaving it smoking on the side of a Phoenix-area road, according to court records obtained by ESPN.

I haven’t followed baseball in a long ass time, but I thought it was cool that the Negro Leagues are now considered major and have their records included in baseball history. Long, long, long overdue.
First Snell, now Darvish. Padres going all in this year.
I'm impressed with the effort. Someone needs to challenge the Dodgers and its a little surprising the smaller market Padres are going all in like this.
The Padres are also likely to sign Ha-Seong Kim from Kiwoom of the KBO, probably to play 2B.
The Padres tried to be competitive a few years back when they signed Matt Kemp, Will Myers, and Justin Upton. But trying to throw money like that at players wasn't the right strategy for them, so they had to rebuild their farm. Now they have a good balance of young talent and enough money to lure some good established players like Machado. Tatis is under team control for a while, so they'll have him for the foreseeable future before he even hits free agency. Their rotation is legit for sure now, and as a Dodgers fan, I don't like it. I still think we're a better team overall, but the gap definitely has shrunk.
