Sounds like the Astros managed to prevent the Jays from signing Brantley and re-signed him. Sucks to lose Springer, but that's been apparent for awhile.

Honestly, this might be unpopular here, but as someone who played baseball until I tore my UCL, baseball is a sport of cheating, and you have to tip your hat to the Astros, who were the GOAT of cheating. Respect.
which in baseball still means that the worst team in the league would have roughly a 20% chance of beating them in a 5 game series.
True, which is why I'm totally against playoff expansion. MLB playoffs are a crapshoot.
The expansion is for league revenue and the players know it. The players also know that somebody can just sneak in and take out a higher seed by playing lights out in a series. Thats why it was so upsetting having the sub 500 Astros come within a game of going to the WS when they had zero business being in the postseason anyway.
I mean, you just won one. Fuck the Dodgers and Fuck Trevor Bauer.
And? They want another one. You wanna say the Dodgers winning another one is more upsetting than the Yankees or Boston? Those 2 have had their years, let another bedrock franchise of MLB get a few for now. Even the Cardinals got one in there and yuck to them.
