How many people are like "I don't like watching the NL. It's boring because the pitchers hit."? I've never heard of that. That's not how I feel. I just watch the game and I'm like "oh ok easy out coming up." The argument you're making requires a strawman that is either an irrelevant minority of fans or literally non-existent.

Yeah. He shares some blame for giving up the hit, but your takeaway on a play with two absolute boners like that probably shouldn't be "wow Jansen". It should probably be mainly on the *catcher* who failed to *catch the ball*.
Arozarena falling down like that too. Such an insane play.

Actually, I'll take that back. He knew right away he hung that one up for Phillips, he put the guys on, and it would have at least gone to extra innings even without the errors. Still, the fielding handed the game to the Rays. Just a team effort of blowing the game.
It’s just dumb to have pitchers hitting these days, they aren’t good at it, even the ones who are “good at it.” We don’t have WRs playing CB in the NFL so why have a shitty hit just because that’s the pure sport or whatever.
Patriots done it before
Bears did it with Hester too, although he wasn't great at either position.
I'm pretty indifferent about it tbh. I didn't really prefer it when it first came out but I don't really care either way now. But interleague play is a lot different than some of these new changes, like expanded playoffs, that dumb extra inning rule, and all that.
I'm not against change to the game but I am against change just for the sake of change. Or worse yet, change just for more money being the primary factor.
This is the driving force behind everything in professional sports.

I'm so tired of the Dodgers choking late in playoff games. It's seriously emotionally exhausting. Roberts mis-management of the bullpen is like a bad rerun every year. Everyone except him knew not to trust Baez and Jansen in those situations.
That game is just like games 2 and 5 in the 2017 World Series. Totally going to change the trajectory of the series.
Fk it, I'm going to game 6. Just bought my flight to Dallas. Yolo, or whatever.
Hope you actually made it in and had a great time! Heartbroken it’s not my guys but can appreciate the achievement and happy for the team to get over the hump! We lost to the better team and I can live with that. We have everyone under contract next year I think we can run it back.
Finally. A pick that I don’t embarrass myself on. And the DH still sucks. Only there to give old fat guys a job in the American League after they would have retired in the NL because they can’t field anymore. The players union loves it. Also NL pitchers think twice before throwing at someone because the pitchers have to get in the box too. Don’t tell me pitchers can’t hit. Hell at every other level of the game pitchers are often some of the best hitters because they simply are the better athletes. I know I’m outnumbered here. But I don’t want old guys in the lineup at DH anymore than I want old guys in the White House.

Most DH aren’t fat while guys so I’m a little confused on this take. If anything it’s more about hitting depth which the Dodgers have way more of obviously?
Rays have pitching for days, but it doesn't do much good when you can't score runs and help them out. Snell got pulled too early, and Arozarena shouldn't have to carry a team by himself like that.

Dodgers are a great team. Solid all around. The only story is the other teams pushing them as much as they did.

yeah for instance, AJ pollack led the dodgers in DH this year and is a gold glove winning CF who is high on a lot of active lists for D stats.
they just have so many guys that can play outfield and hit.
The way I think of it: 1. He had been with the team all day, played seven innings, and been in close contact in the dugout anyway - what difference is another couple innings going to make?
2. Expect someone to not celebrate winning the championship?

Yeah it’s insane how staked the Dodgers are. They aren’t 98 Yankees but they’re damn close.

I did and it was awesome! Such a cool experience and seeing them win in person was the best.
Rays are gonna be back, really talented young team. Man, i love analytics and all that, but really no justification at all for Cash pulling Snell there. Just a really bad decision. I would be so pissed if I were a Rays fan. Gotta give the Dodgers bullpen a ton of credit too tho.
