Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
All info, including a map and printed directions will come with the tickets. Last year I had to use that info to Google around and find a physical address, but it was easy. So, yes, you will find out everything you need when you receive your tickets.
Last year was sooooo smooth. They really kicked up the ease of VIP a notch from the year before!
hoka, do you have any pics of our campsite in 07? Ever talk to Philly girls? Bringing the glowsticks again?
Hi! How the heck are ya! We talk to the philly girls once in a while. Did you go last year? We looked for ya... I will try to did up some pics of our sites - and the glowsticks!

Just received my VIP tickets, and it didn't have the map & directions! Is it the same as last year? Everything else was there, tickets, parking & commemorative vouchers - but nothing else! Received everything last year - was there a change or am I missing something? Or are they trying to tell me something? ;-)
There should have been a goldish flyer that gave you instructions to the school and once at the school they will give you the directions to the secret vip entrance...ooh ahh
High School Address is: 2135 New Tullahoma Hwy Manchester, TN 37355
We are coming from the direction of Chattanooga, I don't think I am going to take the recommended directions that came with the tickets.
I am thinking of taking exit #134 off of I-24, then take Alt 41 south to the town of Winchester, Continue on the Tullahoma Highway (41) to the town of Tullahoma, then 55 east to the high school.
I figured this will avoid all traffic on I-24 in the festival area.
^^ Pretty much the way I'm going, but from the other direction. My town is west of Manchester, so I'll be going through Tullahoma by way of Shelbyville. Like poop I'm going to willingly get on the interstate near 8 am.
So, since you are familiar with the roads you don't see any problem with this.
We are driving down from New Jersey on Wednesday, I'm going to stay around the Chattanooga area in a Wal-Mart or Cracker Barrel parking lot Wednesday night, then on Thursday morning we have a short drive to the High School.

Yeah...nothing. So long as it is all the same as last year I can probably wing it. just gotta remember what the 'secret' route from Nashvile was. gotta dig deep for that one. Thanks for the info all- The high school address is especially helpful!
I noticed the info said no overnighting in the high school parking lot. Was this enforced last year? We have a hotel, but I told someone I thought they could camp out in the lot.

Nope, you should be fine and dandy going that way. It could technically take a little bit longer, as it will with me, but it's worth it for me to avoid the potential traffic nasties. Last year I didn't get to the high school until around 3 (came from I24 from Nashville, not this way), but I saw pretty much no traffic coming down 55 from the Tullahoma direction. I like taking the scenic route, anyway.

Last year we arrived at the High School at about 10:00 PM and spent the night there after spending a few hours hanging out at Wal-Mart with all the others waiting for the gates to open.
I don't know if they put that in there to discourage this or if they may not let us in at all. If not we will just spend the night at the Manchester Wal-Mart.

VIP check-in was closed down around midnight, but people were lining up on the street and blocking traffic from midnight on until they opened. I think that is why they are saying to not arrive early to Check-In, but the traffic buildup just seems kinda unavoidable anywhere and everywhere. I'm sure people will just block the road once again, always wanting to be the first one in line.
My wife and I drove from Huntsville to Bonnaroo. We left the apartment around 1pm, stopped for lunch on our way out of town, and were sitting in our finished campsite within 3 hours.
Sunday, we left pretty early (around 2pm), due to sheer exhaustion, and got home in about 2 hours.
Driving from Huntsville, can you go directly from there to Manchester or do you have to go to Chattanooga? Only reason I ask is because they don't have directions from Huntsville or from coming the back roads. Thnx.
Edit: Nevermind, saw the posts above. Looks like back roads for me.
VIP enters via Grosch Road and Woodland Ave. on that map after you check-in and get your bracelets and parking pass.
For those who do not know you can leave and re-enter VIP as many times as you wish throughout the weekend via this special entrance.
For those of you who get crazy ideas of trying to sneak in this way there are several checkpoints where they check for both VIP parking passes and VIP bracelets along these roads.
Quick question: Coming from Nashville, probably between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. -- take the backroads or just follow the VIP directions down 24??
I just got back. Take the VIP directions. I got off at exit 97 instead of 105 though. Hopped onto Hwy 41 and took that in. Beautiful drive. Keep it at the speed limit. Good food at J&J Resturant on the left a few miles before you get into Manchester on 41.
