^^^^Not trying to be rude....just wandering how you can afford to do this lol? I don't mean buy the tickets, I mean all of the travailing. Just going to sell stuff at the shows or what? Looks like ALOT of time off work lol.
I own my own business. It is a print design production house. I'm 31 years old, and have built my business to a point where, even when I leave, we are fine. So, f*ckit, I'm leaving!! Admittedly I'd like to do all 27 shows, but it's not feasible with the business. Though I'm pretty proud of the fact that even when I'm gone, we stay on track. They may call me 15 times a day, but hey, that's why I'm the boss. I do have to come back at a few points just to keep things on track. June works out for me, b/c the tour rocks right by me. I am actually coming home 3 separate times on the June tour, and seeing 12 of the last 13 shows!!
I don't sell stuff on tour, I'm not really a hippie like that. I don't need to sell on tour since the business will be up and running while I'm out phishing. Phish is purely a vacation of the mind, body and soul for me. As a business owner, I consistently put in 60-80 hours a week. I have to. IT's my livelihood. Phish is my escape from that.
Though, I have considered working up some posters and printing them out to sell. I haven't come up with a design I like yet, if I do, I'll probably run out a few. But that would just be for fun really. Meeting new faces and chatting new friends. I don't need the money from a few poster sales. We sell hundreds of posters every week!
so is anyone gonna be at the box office with me Saturday morning?
yessir
just curious. what time are you getting there? are you camping overnight? at this point i'm thinking i might roll in there around 6 or 7. do you guys think thats too late?
"Disobedience, in the eyes of anyone who has read history, is man's original virtue. It is through disobedience and rebellion that progress has been made." Oscar Wilde (1854 - 1900), The Soul of Man Under Socialism
"You're either on the bus or off the bus." Ken Kesey
"When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." Hunter S. Thompson
Kinda funny I'm a noob and I'm going to 7 shows this Summer, but I really liked what I heard when seriously checking them out for Roo. After a few Live Phish d/l's and then hitting the spreadsheet nonstop I became hooked.
When the second leg of the tour came up I said fuck it I'm going to the nearby shows. Then they announce Fenway and that's my best friend's hometown so... had to go to that one too.
Like Gouge I'm also in my early 30's and also own my own business, which can easily be put on auto pilot (since it's all online) so taking some time off for a few days here and there won't be a problem. If it wasn't for my Brother getting married in June I'd probably be hitting some of the first leg in the NE too, but as it is now, even Bonnaroo is a stretch with all of the social commitments that go along with a large wedding.

i heard pnc sucks now. they have all these crazy rules. no tailgaiting.
Yeah but can't you not tailgate at Jones Beach? At least at PNC you can drink inside the venue. I've never been to JB, but from what I hear, it's run like a fascist internment camp.

i've actually only seen one show there back in like 02. i don't remember the alcohol situation because i don't drink, but corn was not a problem for me.
I know the odds are about as good as lightning striking me down today, but I'll throw out another line for spare Red Rocks -- I have a ticket for Sunday, but any others would be incredible and, like many others, I have a 2-day Gorge pass to include in the deal!
