what's up Gouge, it's PT's suprstevie - glad to see i'm not the only 'Roo lover on that board full of haters
anyawy, my tour itinerary is listed below - it's funny, among all these Phish shows i have to keep reminding myself that i'm attending BONNAROOO too. It gets overshadowed in the middle of this big tour but what a weekend at the farm it's going to be.
as far as how to afford it, i'm saving what i can from my job and working at festival in my hometown for 12 hours a day for 10 days straight. i'll be touring on the cheap (no motels for us) but it's possible.
and yeah, seeing phish 4 nights in a row isn't seeing the same band 4 nights in a row - it's really seeing 4 different incarnations of the same band, as anyone who has seen them will tell you

Has anyone seen the Clifford Ball DVDs yet? I've got them in my queue in Netflix and for each disc, it says "long wait." I didn't realize there were that many phans on Netflix.
6/18: Phish in Hartford 6/25: Phish in Camden 7/2-7/4: Nateva 7/17: God Street Wine at Irving Plaza 7/23-7/25: String Cheese at Red Rocks!! 8/17-8/18: Phish at Jones Beach 9/3: Rush at PNC
This Bonnaroo lineup is in dire need of some Rush.

No it wasn't a mistake, I had all the Clifford Ball discs at the top of my queue, followed by "The Grateful Dead: Anthem to Beauty." There was a short to very long wait for all of those and they sent me the first available DVD, which was disc 1 of SCI at Fillmore Auditorium. I should try to get a list of the people who had Clifford Ball sent to them and go watch it at their houses like George Costanza.

I own my own business. It is a print design production house. I'm 31 years old, and have built my business to a point where, even when I leave, we are fine. So, f*ckit, I'm leaving!! Admittedly I'd like to do all 27 shows, but it's not feasible with the business. Though I'm pretty proud of the fact that even when I'm gone, we stay on track. They may call me 15 times a day, but hey, that's why I'm the boss. I do have to come back at a few points just to keep things on track. June works out for me, b/c the tour rocks right by me. I am actually coming home 3 separate times on the June tour, and seeing 12 of the last 13 shows!!
I don't sell stuff on tour, I'm not really a hippie like that. I don't need to sell on tour since the business will be up and running while I'm out phishing. Phish is purely a vacation of the mind, body and soul for me. As a business owner, I consistently put in 60-80 hours a week. I have to. IT's my livelihood. Phish is my escape from that.
Though, I have considered working up some posters and printing them out to sell. I haven't come up with a design I like yet, if I do, I'll probably run out a few. But that would just be for fun really. Meeting new faces and chatting new friends. I don't need the money from a few poster sales. We sell hundreds of posters every week!
As long as they continue to average 80,000 in revenue every month, I will allow them to suck :-)
but then again, they are not targetted at people like the ones on this board. Our customers are middle aged safety managers, retail managers, purchasers. We target corporations, not individuals, though we take individual orders as well. We have done pretty well for ourselves :-)

No freaking doubt dude. I keep telling myself, "oh yea, I'm going to Bonnaroo, maybe I should listen to one of the bands, or check out inforoo for news. " I've seen every roo, and this one is falling through the cracks for me, but just b/c i'm getting so amped up for the phish.
As far as that goes, I think I have to add #20 to the list. I pulled a Section C Row A for 6/02/09 Jones Beach today. I wasn't even planning on going, b/c I have to change flights to do it, but now, I'm thinking why not. That's front row man.
I have never pulled a front row ticket in my life. The best seats up front I've ever pulled (aside from GA) was 2nd row. I totally was not expecting to go to the show, let alone pull front row seats for it.

No doubt, a friend of my father's who got me into the business started his online presence in the same industry that I'm in (travel) back in 1997. His websites are "uglier" than yours and he rakes it in.
There are a lot of theories out there that attempt to explain the phenomenon of high performing ugly sites, as an example, baltimore.to and southbaltimore.com are two sites (out of hundreds) that he owns that pull in 40k+ a year in NET profit each.
If it's not broke, don't fix it. Keep on keeping on Gouge.
My own sites (htp://smoothtrips.com for example) are much more modern and up to date, but nothing matters more than a site's age and longetivity to the all important Google.
I'd kill to own an older "sucky" site like his or Gouge's, cause no matter how clean or advanced I build a site today, I have to spend $50 a day on Google's adwords on each one to make it profitable. Older sites get the same amount of traffic "naturally" without any ad spending, thus doubling or even tripling the profit margin.
ANYWAYS... back to the subject at hand.... Fenway tomorrow is up for grabs, and I am DRUNK now after a mean 2 for 1 happy hour, which means I need to set both of my alarms tomorrow to score fenway tix (struck out in the lottery)
If I strike out tomorrow, should I hold off on stubhub et al and hit up the lot or what? Bear in mind, I need 2 seats together... unlike other shows where it's just me.

thanks for the kind words, but don't buy scalped tix brah!!! You'll get them, and even if you don't, you should be able to get them in the lot. Fenway will be an easy show, despite it being in Boston. Aside from Bonnaroo and Alpine Valley, it's the biggest venue on the tour. Don't overpay for large venues. Demand is false right now, inflated by scalpers and overzealous phish fans. Once the scalpers take a bath this summer, they will be forced to come off their prices, and hoarding of Phish tix. But that will only happen if Phish fans do their part and don't feed the monster.

i haven't been able to load the page yet, the number is busy, my friend is having the same issue. Fucking livenation and their cheap ass servers. They must be hosted on the same box as PT
