4 night of dark star orchestra, donna jean w/ the zen tricksters, and boombox. more to be announced soon. also fireworks, skydivers, and the burning man(some dude who sets himself on fire and jumps in the lake) the zen tricksters and boombox are both excellent. seen them both a couple times and it was always top notch. boombox is at wakarusa this year, cant wait. its zion godchaux, son of keith and donna jean. but i enjoy boombox much more live, i dont listen to it too much at home. you gotta be there to really enjoy boombox. they are just one of those bands, for me anyway. the zen tricksters i listen to alot, one of my favorites. damn i cant wait for summer. heres their myspaces. but im not too fond of some of the song selections on both of them.
just added the grey boy all stars!!! and keller williams!!! holy sh.it!!!!! also new riders of the purple sage, steve kimoc-donna jean-melvin seals and zero, wookiefoot, the pnuma trio, carlos jones, and phix (the phish tribute band) damn that is a hell of a lineup for gratefulfest!!! i cant friggin wait! i am sooooo excited!!!!! definitely the fest im most looking forward to this year. 4th of july is gonna be awesome!!!
one of the really nice things about nelson ledges is you can come as early as you want. its 10 bucks a person per night and you can get there a month early if you want to. we will probably be getting there for gratefulfest on sunday or monday. and they allow you to claim space for people who will be coming. we are bringing alot of our friends heavy gear so they wont have to carry it when they get there. we can set the tents up all spread out and make room for any inforooers that might be coming later on.
it gets really full for gratefulfest. you can camp next to your car most of the time. but last year a friend got in on thursday night and they had to park in another field and carry their stuff over to camp. so if it gets real full you may have to carry your stuff to the main camping area. but we will have an awesome site and anyone that wants a spot we will try to save one for ya. and we will have wagons too for bringing stuff over. so as it gets closer we will try to set it up and i can call someone and give them our site numbers and they can post it on here so it will be easy to find with the map they provide. we will be very close to the stage. it would be great to get an inforoo camp going.
last year we got there the first morning and paid 100 a ticket at the gate. if im remembering right. but im pretty sure. but they dont have ticket info up yet for this year.
the site now says that melvin seals and JGB will be there celebrating the music of the jerry garcia band. that should be a great show!! also the katz-n-jammers (dave katz of ekoostik hookah), boris garcia, and big leg emma. it also added a blurb about the new mastersounds having karl denson on the new album, followed by [hint] so that should be a sweet show! is it spring yet???
DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they just added umphreys mcgee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i think i threw out my back jumping for joy. im gonna have a perma grin for a month!!! damn i cant wait for the 4th of july!!!!!!!!!
and sanduleak was added too!

One of the greatest entertainers I've ever experienced. Dear and respected friend to Guthrie, Cash, Dylan and Garcia. Jack takes you on an unforgetable trip of stories and songs. Ramblin Jack at Gratefulfest is a special treat!
"In giving new life to our musical traditions, Ramblin Jack has himself become an American treasure." -President Clinton .
"Covering more ground then I ever could, he's got a song and a friend for every mile behind him" -Johny Cash
