Thats looks sweet. Do you guys know if they sell day tickets? i can't get off the whole weekend but i might make it on a sat or sun.
the tickets go down in price each day. it will list that when they announce the ticket info. which will hopefully be soon.
i agree about this being one fo the top fests of the summer. i wouldnt be surprised if it ends up being my faovrite of the year. im just wondering how they will deal with the amount of people this lineup could draw. it says they expanded the camping. i hope they did quite a bit of expanding or it could sell out quick.
If Bonnaroo weren't going to completely tap me out.... I would consider coming to this solo. Maybe my jewelry sales will go like crazy or something and I will be able to go..... better go make more jewelry.
I would LOVE this, but I def. don't have a music buddy that would go with me. Hey maybe I'll meet one at the 'roo!
i am trying to get a camp inforoo going at gratefulfest. but only a couple maybes so far. but we will be there for sure. probably about 20 of us all together. so if you end up coming you and anyone who might come with are more then welcome to join us. and hopefully a couple more inforooers! come on you michigan and ohio peeps!!! you dont want to miss this! no better way to spend the 4th of july!! and they are pretty cool about selling jewelry and stuff. my sister and a couple other friends have been making clothes all winter so they will be doing the same. and dont forget that all good is the next weekend, and 10klf is after that, and summer hookah is after that ;D damn i cant wait for july!!!!!

this is actually an hour away from my house and I've yet to venture to nqlp for any concert weekends. But this particular weekend has my interest piqued.
I'll have to see if I can swing this. umphreys and keller caught my eye!
The nice thing about the quarry is that if it's hot you can SWIM.
I don't know if I could swing $150x2 for the whole shebang. I'd love to, but damn these VIP tickets, roo will have me pretty tapped this year.
Although I work for a paper in Geauga County...I wonder if they have press passes.
::Halo::
I wish they'd move the wish you were here weekend to a non-bonnaroo weekend. *sigh*
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
well it was another wonderful week at the ledges. the weather was perfect. the music was great. and the people were wonderful. it seemed like a few more people then last year. tons of people got there early. the place was pretty full by tuesday. there was definitly a hightened security presence. the legend valley security team was there. but they werent harrasing anyone that wasnt earning it. there were some new rules about jumping off the cliffs, going to the island, and you had to leave the water for safety breaks every now and again because someone drowned at the fest on roo weekend. with that any people i guess its a good idea. it kinda sucked too though. but i understand it. the dso soundcheck on tuesday ended up being an hour and a half set. it was a great way to kick things off. dso was outstanding everynight. and i got to hear my brother esau. i was very happy about that. i was sad to hear that joe left the recipe and they werent playing gratefulfest but john welton and friends put on a stellar show anyhow. john welton is the man. ive seen him a few times at campfire jams and he never ceases to amaze me. and his latenight set to close it all out was the best show of the weekend. members of the crowd running up on stage to give them shots of whiskey and hits off pipes. it was an amazing night. umphreys wasnt bad but i can only get into them at night. keller was awesome. the zen tricksters, grey boy, bigleg emma, and melvin seals were all wonderful too. wookiefoot tore it up. it was my first time seeing them and they are great. and they went around the capgrounds at ngiht beer caroling. they would just stop by campsites and sing a few songs for beer. or for free if you had no beer. we followed them around for a while and it was great to hear them jamming around the campground. the fireworks were INSANE! it was the biggest fireworks show i have ever seen. and it was right in your face from the beach as they went off over the quarry. it was awesome. the fire spinners were on the beach all night doing their thing. it was just an amazing time. everyone needs to go to the ledges! i assure you it is the greatest festival venue in the universe. such a beautiful place. if you live anywhere near it you need to go. you wont regret it.

I grew up with the Ledges and was really wanting to make this show. Glad you had a good time. The guy Evan who owns and runs it was a lifeguard there when I used to go as a teenybopper. He bought the place, and the vibe has never been better.
ya evan is a good dude. he came up a couple of times to talk about the world and everyones personal responsibility to try and make it a better place. he was pretty emotional about it and i think it was truly heard by many people. plus i love seeing the owner of the venue out in the crowd in a beat up pair of shorts dancing with the crowd. i wish i had learned of the ledges earlier in my life. i cant get enough of that place. be sure to let me know if your heading there for anything later this summer. im going to the recipe family cookout and gory at the quarry for sure. and im 90 percent sure ill be at summer hookah next weekend depending on how much money and how long it takes to get my transmission fixed. hopefully ill se ya there for something.
I may hit up RFC. I was interested in Summer Hookah, but predominantly for the Avett Bros.
I guess they punked out cuz they didn't wanna be openers.
I'm in the process of moving from the far east side of cle-town to the far west(luvs me the country) so that is why i haven't committed to the Recipe thing yet. Last year was sort of lame because of the weather. They had to cancel all of the regional bluegrass cuz of the lack of attendance caused by the rain. Still saw Sam Bush, Jerry Douglass, and 2 nights of the Recipe. I miss the days when Clambake would play it and they called it smokin' seafood fest. Unless i am confusing the two gigs which may be.
I'll hit ya up if i end up goin'. May just come for the day on Saturday-have to wait and see.
You just been busy-or have you been purposely stayin' away from the boards ?
just been out of town all the time. i was living in cleveland for a bit and didnt have internet. that didnt work out so im back up north now. and im glad to have my inforoo back. but im so far up here that when i go to fests i end up staying down south for weeks to save on gas. 10 dollars a night at the ledges is too cheap to pass up when faced with 200 dollars in gas to go home and back. i should be around more now that my van is taking a crap and requires a grand or more in repairs.
on the bright side my not being around has done wonders for my karma ;D ive never been positive for this long.
I had a great time busting my Quarry cherry. Everyone was super friendly, the weather was nice, and the tunes were great. Even though we got there on Friday late (had about a 15 minute walk) it was worth the trip. The fireworks on Friday night were magical. I also loved Boombox and New Riders. I was a lil bummed to pay 90 after getting there after Keller, but it was worth it. I might have to go next weekend.
