I'm just having a more difficult time with it than I expected. It is quite discouraging.
Is your Calc II series and sequence? If so, know that I had a bitch of a time in that one, but multi-dimensional and differential eq are so completely different that you can be very successful in those.

My new boss just accused me of not caring about my job when it's probably one of the most important things in my life right now. I'm so angry that I'm in tears.

That sucks Lazybutterfly. Nothing worse than a boss that doesn't appreciate their employees. My boss has a tendency to hold a grudge against someone, often for quite random reasons, and often despite the person's reliable performance she will still take any opportunity to viciously tear them down. We lost some good people because of it. It got so bad that by order of the CEO she is not allowed to talk directly to my people anymore. . If she's got an issue with one of my team she can yell at me about it. I can then distill it into something constructive, if possible, and calmly discuss it with her target. But more often than not all I can tell them is that her guns are hot and they seemed to have wandered into her kill box, so keep a low profile for now.

Series and sequences is late October/early November. He already warned us that that part is the make or break part of the course. We are on fundamental theorem of calculus and area under curves right now. The professor is young and good. He is just very ADHD and brilliant, so he jumps around topics a lot. Also, he is big into mathematical theory, so he does all the proofs for everything he teaches which is 1) confusing and 2) totally irrelevant to what we are tested on.
Okay this was the post when I started I quacking hate Monopoly My kids love Monopoly We're playing quacking Monopoly
Then I had a phone call letting me know that my friend who has died of ovarian cancer. I quacking hate this. She kept talking about coming with us to Roo after treatment. She was a vibrant strong woman who is now gone. Don't put shiz off people, even if it's playing quacking Monopoly.
I'm so sorry katbur, and Mike and Sarah too. You make a great point about not putting things off. My best friend's mom passed away Sunday morning, and I had put off going to see her for the last month. I wish now I hadn't. I also found out tonight that an old friend committed suicide about a week and a half ago. I also didn't grab the opportunity to see him the last time he was around.

Hope you new boss figures it out.
Ugh, I'm sorry about that! It's sad when your boss can't figure out how to be a team player and still have a good, constructive hand on people below them. I can't understand people who often make an environment stressful like that.
My boss apologized, and we ended up figuring out a system that works for both of us. He still has this arrogant 'tude, but I'm relieved.

So about a week ago a recruiter contacted me for a job. I agreed to go for the interview with this company. I drove an hour to the interview today, and in this hour of driving I realized that I really didn't want this job, but I would go in for the interview and give 100% anyway.
So I sat with my potential future boss and the director of HR. They interviewed me for literally 29 minutes and sent me on my way. Neither gave me their business card or anything more than, "we'll call you tomorrow or early next week."
Now I know I said I didn't really want the job, but the fact that they wasted my time, really pisses me off. They saw my resume, and probably could have figured out I'm pretty young, by industry standards, and could have passed on me.

Ehh, it seems fair they gave you a shot to impress them. A lot of people without impressive resumes are looking for work and holding on to that one hope of being given a chance when going to these interviews.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
At this point, if I have to pay $1000 for a new tooth, EVERYTHING is in jeopardy. F*CK. F*CK. F*CK.
Hey GL - see if your dentist takes Care Credit. It's a credit company that is specifically for healthcare stuffs. I'm not a proponent of opening up credit cards - but then you wouldn't have to drop $1K at one time... www.carecredit.com/providerloc/ Shop around too. See what other providers are in-network and call around to see if they'd take you as a new patient and what they'd charge for the same procedure... Good luck mister!

I checked Care Credit and he doesn't take it. I'm looking into taking out another credit card, which is something I hate to do, but I think I don't have a choice.

BOO GL. Sorry your dentist is dumb.
If you have to get a cc - do it. Then just make a giant first payment with any part of that $1000 that you can spare right now. You're gonna be okay GL! Turn off your cable before you sell concert tix! <3

GL, I swear I didn't mean to jinx you! I'm not sure why that Antlers song reminds me of you... I TAKE IT BACK!!! I'll replace it in my mind w/something from Interpol!
One of mine and dreamingtree's coworker's houses burned down last night and they lost everything. She has already had a tough year, losing her uncle and brother within a few months of each other, and now she has to deal with a major castrophe. I am heartbroken for her.
My grandmother has been in the hospital since last Friday with pnuemonia and an irregular heartbeat. Docs can't figure out why her heartbeat won't regulate and may have to shock it.
Jake didn't pass his CDL test and therefore can't do much of anything at his new job.
And I'm covered in bug bites. I have around 30 of them all over my body. Big, itchy, red spots. I'm almost afraid it's chicken pox or something like it (I've had chicken pox, so I don't think that's it; I just can't imagine what on earth it could be).
