Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
took roo a long time, but they finally got an act i really want to see that i have not already seen, nor am likely to see at any number of other festivals this summer.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

Why oh why oh why...
Okay I know why...Tiesto is a HUGE name (probably THE biggest in dance music right now) and will draw even more people in to Roo. He's very marketable and well known.
I know that he's a good DJ (good - NOT great), but I am not personally into trance nearly as much as house, techno, minimal, or even electro (a la mstrkrft). Skillwise, there are so many people better than Tiesto.
I just feel that Roo is paying a HUGE sum of money just for a big name. They could have brought in three way better electronic acts for half the cost of Tiesto.
I will now disclaim: I will be there, guido fist pump and all, raving and raging, and I'll have an awesome time. I just expected Superfly to have a better feel for where the scene is at right now and not just pick an overpriced easily marketable name.

^^I had a friend who felt that way everytime he heard the song "Dreams" by the Cranberries. It was like Alex in A Clockwork Orange...
enya also does it to me - my friend put enya on for me to 'relax' after a not so great 'time' and ever since just blehchhh... altho i never really dug enya...and i used to dig trance, when i first got into the rave scene i loveeddd me some EPIC trance. now its
thennn there was a time i needed to be uplifted and i put zeppelin 'song remains the same' on repeat and that is now one of my happy place songs
As a corollary to my previous post, he's also billed higher than Levon Helm. If you're billed higher than Levon Helm, you're not going in a tent.
Same with Sigur Ros, and that's why I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed when the schedule gets released and find out that Ros will be a daytime show. There's no room on the stages after dark for such a highly billed act.

Awesome addition. His show at Voodoo was phenomenal, but I was tired and wasn't under the influence of anything fun. So I can't wait to see him at 'roo under the proper conditions. It would be cool if he played his Crosses remix.
bonnaroo has killer late night shows every single year, as well as world renowned djs. tiesto is no more going to need a stage than S&D, Krush, Cut Chemist or Shadow in years past. same goes with sigur ros. they are gonna be awesome, and tons of people will be there, but that is often the case with roo late night. the only thing they have really broken the mold over so far this year is having a comedy icon like chris rock who clearly can't function in the normal comedy tent, and is thus using the main stage. otherwise, i see no reason why the late night lay out won't be virtually identical to years past, except maybe for the outside chance that thursday gets some late night love.

ohhhh. That would be the most! A rooster can hope!
The thing is, Thursday night already had shows past midnight, which is when the normal late-nights start. So basically, having "late-nights on Thursday" is only a matter of extending set times by an hour or so and adding a band or two.
