AC/DC Rumoured For Australian Stadium Show
posted Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 11:14:20 AM by Diamond Oz. (thanks BW&BK)
According to News.com.au, speculation is mounting over who is next to take the Suncorp Stadium stage in Brisbane, Australia.
AC/DC fans, prepare to rejoice. An Acca Dacca tour has been rumoured for years, but industry insiders reckon the kings of hard rock will hit the road this year, including a Suncorp blitzkreig.
And local promoters salivating over LED ZEPPELIN are on the phones to Canada. Following the band's London reunion gig, Toronto-based promoter Michael Cohl is reportedly stitching up a Led Zep tour. The cost? $200 million for North America alone.
But with Zep singer ROBERT PLANT touring with recent collaborator ALISON KRAUSS in April and May, a Led Zep jaunt to Oz could take place next year.

They want to announce them as a headliner, and they will if they can, but if not, there are plans for the members that are there to perform in some manner. The info we have is solid, just cryptic.

I will say I head the outgoing freight for a certain drum company in Nashville, TN. I will say that I know alot of guys that work for companys like FedEx Express. Sometimes guys that work for these companies open packages that arent addressed to them and read their contents and reseal the packages. Sometimes this info gets on the internets.
I really don't think it would be hard to get the other three there if Plant is already there. I can't imagine them not being billed as the headliner. That is there bread and butter this year in my view. Especially with all these other fests popping up.

Who do you work for? Singerland? Pearl? Mapex? Spill the beans, your friend is in the other room confessing right now.
Not to be an ass but I am thinking that Superfly and AC have had the headliners booked for awhile now. Months to be honest.I know...I know..It's Zepp. Things can be changed but at what cost. How Much money would they loose at this point to say "Hey... Your still playing you just arn't headlining." So if somebody else backs out are they not responsible to pay them the ammount of the contract? I'm just wondering? If they are in.They are in.
^^ I agree... I also read that AC/Superfly reps flew to the Zep reunion show... Why else would they do that? To get Plant and Krauss to play? I think not....

i'm guessing if they don't headline, they would just throw on Plant and JPJ(50% of Zeppelin) to the Which Stage for a late night SuperJam...any takers?!

You have a definite Robert Plant at Roo, You have a definite JPJ at Roo. They need a definite for Page. Thats what I know, and they also need to know if Zep wants their name on the flyers. The Super Jam Zep thing is the biggest possibility. Random drummer is the word.
