Well, maybe none of the jerkin', but we should meet up somewhere at B-roo and start a drum circle. All we need is to march around the campsites bangin on drums, and then when we have like 100 people just sit down and bang it out.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**

at gratefulfest they had a latenight drum circle led by dark star and airto moreira & flora purim band. it was awesome. it had to be atleast 100 drummers. fire people getting crazy on the beach breathing and throwing fire. damn that was a great night.

Hells yeah, i'm down! But can i bring a didgeridoo? I wanted to buy one at Roo in 04 and didn't get the chance but if i see some this year, i'm gettin one!
My friend has a didgeridoo that he made out of some pvc pipe. He even burnt it with a blow torch to make it look like it was made out of wood. It works pretty damn good.

sounds pretty cool. but ill warn anyone doing this that i worked in a factory and one of the first things i learned is that pvc is a carcinigen when burned. its absolutly horrible for you. id avoid bruning it if possible.

does anyone remember that realllly loud drum coming from the middle of somewhere about 7 a.m. every morning in 06? I was in the inforoo camp and my wife slept through it every morning but it would wake me up and i would listen for a bit then they would go into sound check on the mainstage, but yeah that was a LOUd hand drum
hmmm... my hand drum's head is busted. any inforoo readers know how to stretch a new skin and tie the fancy knots? i'd really like to get it replaced, but i don't have the know how. if i could put it on with a drum key, it might be a different story

this is exactly the kind of stuff I missed out on last year and why I am joining the meet-ups that are posted. I got very little sleep last year, but most of my time was spent hanging out in camp until the sun came up. I had a great time with my friends, but I want to be one of the lucky people who finds stuff like a drum circle. awesome stuff.

If you're interested in picking up a hand drum or didgerdoo at Roo, look for Chad at Drumzrguruven. I got some stuff from him in 2005 (gourd drum, didge, rainstick) and I know he was back in 2006. It's really beautiful stuff and he'll ship it too. He had a website at www.drumzrguruven.com. [Note to suspicious readers: I have no financial connection with this guy. Just a satisfied customer.]
