Though there are some great late night shows from national acts this year, everyone should venture out to on the tents to see some of the regional acts from the Southeast. You won't be sorry.
Thursday- Moonshine Still- These guys have been at it for a long time and finally get to grace Bonnaroo this year. They are loads of fun and will hopefully get to bring their lightshow with them. From Macon, Georgia, they are definately one of the best touring acts in the Southeast. All killer musicians and great vocalists. Will definately keep you dancing.
Friday- Infradig- These guys, from Chattanooga, Tennessee are a four piece electro-funk-trip-hop band that are very similar to STS9, MMW, and DJ Shadow. They have a very ecclectic musical catalog and following as well. Very unique. I think that they will stand out well from the rest of the this year's line-up.
Saturday- Garage Deluxe- I first saw these guys with Perpetual Groove at the Orange Peel in Asheville, NC. They have this really unique Government Mule meets Grand Funk Railroad thing going on. Their music features a screaming Hammond organ, slide guitar, and great vocals from all memebers. They have been playing with some big name acts this year already including Burning Spear and Little Feat.
Thanks for the info, I have seen Garage Deluxe a few times, including a show at Blue Cats when they were asking for suggestions for names!!! Anyway, I think I will check out Infradig, they sound interesting.
