As I was sitting at work today thinking about when the next announcement was going to be, and who is in it, I thought to myself "I wonder who is going to be the headliners in 2007?".
So I figured that I would come on here and get people's predictions for the 2007 fest before the 2006 fest even takes place. I will also ask this question after this years fest to see if anyone's opinion has changed.
Do you think that they are going to have one of the headliners from the past back again?(Panic, some form of Dave, etc.) Or do you think that they are going to have somebody new?
So I wanna know two things: Who do you want to headline Bonnaroo in 2007? and Who do you think is most likely going to headline?
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
It seems like every year that one of the big rumors ends up being a headliner the next year. This year it's Tom Petty. So, Pearl Jam is as believable as any. Although, I personally won't go to a Bonnaroo headlined by Pearl Jam, but that's just me.
You know, Phish wouldn't be that unlikely next year. Maybe just a bit less likely than the remains of Jerry Garcia tied to a guitar and a tie-dye shirt. Hey, el Cid did it!

i think phish will do their own festival... if they go on tour maybe roo.. but if it is just a comeback show it will be a coventry type event...as it should be... but we can always hope im thinkink dave will be back... if i had my way it would be dave on fri, beastie boys sat, and the dead closing.... i would also bust out main stage late nights for trey and umphreys, also i think some others will be back,... mars volta, jack johnson, ben harper, tea leaf green, jurassic 5, hopefully john butler(im seeing him on the 15th... cant wait)string cheese, north mississippi allstars, flaming lips, ween, and hopefully some good new stuff... i like two gallants and smoke stack and i still want some willie nelson, i was pissed when he wasnt at 04.. but steve winwood rocked in his place so it worked out
I Although, I personally won't go to a Bonnaroo headlined by Pearl Jam, but that's just me.
That's silly. May I ask why? Even if you don't like PJ why would one band keep you from a great festival. It's not like PJ fans are any worse than Dave Matthews fans. PJ puts on a great live show.

I would love to see any of the following bands as headliners next year:
Pink Floyd-I know it will never happen, but they will always be the top band on my wishlist.
Pearl Jam-Even though I think that there is a chance that they will be added to this year's lineup, I would love to see them as a headliner in the future.
Eric Clapton/Cream-I would be satisfied with either.
David Bowie-A music legend that would be great on a Bonnaroo stage.
Prince-Yeah, that's right, Prince! I have only heard good things about his shows. I would also take him as a late night act if anyone thought that he shouldn't be a headliner.
Phish-I know that people think that they would do their own festival, but I still think that they would play a night or two at Bonnaroo.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.
I'd say Pink Floyd isn't all that unreasonable...Dave and Roger both have their own tours going this year, but Dave at least has said that he'd be up for a reunion.
I personally would die for Neil Young and the Allmans.
Yeah I can't imagine the Allmans not being there, they have the 'every other year' thing going pretty well. Can't beat that encore last year - 15 minute version of Whipping Post was incredible!

if phish did just one show a year, it would cause massive riots. not a good idea. If they're going to do it, they have to tour (doesn't have to be 100 shows, but it can't be just 1).
They haven't played a festival other than their own since HORDE & Farm Aid, so forget about it @ Bonnaroo. Every year that multiple members have played, there have been no collabs at all.

^^^ Are you kidding me mike? The most rabid fanbase in the history of music? The fences to ANY venue that tried to hold a 1-off Phish concert would come down, my friend, trust me. When I say riot, that's what I mean.
I don't see why Phish would feel the need to play a big festival in the middle of the country, when they played their own festival in the farthest ass-end of Florida and had just as many people come.

well no matter were they played it there would be more people then they could handle, that shiit could be in baghdad and it would still draw tens of thousands if not hundereds
