i think it depends on what you get there. I'm a C (not huge I know, but definitely not small) and I have a strapless dress from there thats way too big in the chest. Some of their stuff is really tiny though.
i'm a DD, so i'm used to having a hard time fitting into certain store's dresses.
i found a really cute pattern for a couple dresses, and my mom is going to help me sew them since i don't have a sewing machine. i just need to go and pick out some fabric.
this is true about the size of the chest area in dresses. i just went up 1 1/2 cup sizes so i'm not used to thinking about that yet my friends are all telling me how lucky i am to have bigger boobs, but i don't feel so lucky, because my bras/shirts don't fit and i have to look hard for some that do fit correctly.
oh, and hippie--you should check out amy butler fabrics for your dresses, she makes the most beautiful patterns. here are some swatches, but she has lots more fabrics...
here is some of her fabric made into a dress...
and i am totally OBSESSED with these pants, i think they are the most fabulous pants i've ever seen. as soon as i have the $$ i'm totally going to make myself a pair of these ;D
oh, and sorry that i always post so many photos...i just know that i love when i open the girly fashion thread...i get really excited when you girls post pics of cute dresses and such, so i thought i'd share the love ;D
Sleepyrobin, that dress is ADORABLE! Man, I wish I could sew.
This dress is 15% off at Charlotte Russe... might pick it up once I get some money. It would be great for spring break and Roo:
Also, my roomie told me that there are some great, cheap dresses at Aeropostale right now, so we're going tomorrow morning. ;D Which is your favorite??
A:
B:
orrrrrr....
C:
Granted, it depends on if/how they fit, but I thought I'd show you girls and get your opinions!

i get them threaded. apparently it isnt as big a thing out here on the east coast or something. but it is way better for your skin tha waxing and tons more precise. plus they always shape it perfect.
LoL I don't know about NJ but in our malls here on long Island they have threading booths for people to get their eyebrows done while shopping. I'm too scared to try it though, I heard it hurts a lot more then waxing which makes me cry as it is lol.
oh my. i think it takes a bit longer, like 5 mins, but after the first time if you do it every other week you wont even feel it at all! i honestly done even feel anything. haha.
if youre brave enough to wax, just try threading once! ill even come up and be your shoulder to cry on...

yeah, i've seen threading booths and hair straightening booths throughout roosevelt field, but i've haven't tried threading either. everyone has different opinions on it. i've never had a problem with simply tweezing so i dont feel the need to try anything else, or atleast not now.
its all about time and precision. its faster than tweezing because you get entire rows of hair all at once. and the shap is perfect because of the technique. but whatever floats your boat. plus im lazy and dont ever feel like tweezing, and i feel it more when i tweeze. i dont even feel the hair being pulled out when im threaded...its relaxing!

okay, I figure my girls would give me the best advice on this perhaps.
I have this patch of dry, discolored skin between my breasts. I'm so self conscious about it, but I've tried scrubbing it in the shower and applying lotions.
I haven't wanted to wear any of my low cut shirts for this problem, but I know going to the dermatologist is going to be expensive.
Does anyone know what this might be & how I can get rid of it?! My boyfriend thinks I'm over obsessing, but it's driving me crazy!!!
i second what someone said earlier...it sounds like psoriasis. it runs in my family, so i have it on my scalp, and i use coal-tar shampoo (which smells horrible, but it's the only thing that works for me.) neutrogena t-gel is a good, widely available product. if this doesn't work, you might want to think of going to a dermatologist, or maybe just your regular doctor. also, asking a pharmacist is always my last resort if i'm broke. most pharmacists can tell you which product would work best for you and identify skin conditions. if you're nervous about showing to a male pharmacist, you can always just find a female pharmacist.
and i don't think it's a fungal infection. it would probably be kind of scaly and white in splotches if it were a fungal infection. if it is a fungal infection, the selsun blue/t-gel will not work. you'll need a product for fungus, like lamasil at. if you need to use this, just make sure you wash your hands afterwards.
hope this helps!! my mom is a pharmacy technician, and i have had nearly every single health problem known to man!! my whole life, i've had my doctor and pharmacist on speed dial, and i've been in and out of the hospital a lot. i guess the good part is that my friends always know who to ask when they have a health problem, and it keeps me in tune with my body ;D
thanks girl for the advice! I'm going to pick up some T-Gel this weekend to try out; hopefully it's nothing too tricky. If that doesn't do the trick, then I will see the dermatologist.
I just went to the mall earlier with my friends, and it's so depressing shopping at some stores like Charlotte Russe, because a lot of their really cute screen tees don't fit. I tried on like 4 that I really liked, and I looked ridiculous because of my DDs, and I do have a curvy figure.
They did have some cute flowy tops though, but Wet Seal has shirts that are a bit more forgiving and such. And I got uber cute big sunglasses that are vintage looking and perfect for roo.. I hope I don't lose them or break them by June lol.
But, hippienaustin, I really want to sew some dresses for roo too! I'm going to enlist in the help of my grandmother and pick out some nice floral & pretty patterns for sundresses! I'm going to start with a few simple cut dresses, but I want to try some intricate stuff later down the road! ;D
Hey, I'm Melanie and I'm new to the boards. I've been reading this thread from the beginning, and I'm nowhere near finished, but I just wanted to thank everyone who's posted here. This will be my first time at Bonnaroo and I feel like I will be well prepared thanks to you girls!
I found the most cool lotion to get your feet ready for summer sandals. Its the Dr Scholls overnight lotion. im not picky so the fact that im telling you about it.....its a big deal. I went to the store to get some of that lotion that gives youa little bit of color. I dont want to be tan but Im just tire of being......chalky. Well I saw this dr scholls overnight lotion for feet there and I decided what the heck. I do HATE my white feet so i thought that i would use that first and then try the other lotion in a week or two. WOW! i slapped that stuf on and popped on a pair of socks. the next day i could tell a difference. for a minute I was like..WHY do my feet seem so much softer - theni remembered. i go barefoot all the time...so my feet are not the softest on the bottom. if you want your feet to be a little softer - try this stuff.
ill let you know how the other lotion works out in a week or two.

LoL I may hold you to that! LOL I'm such a baby when it comes to eyebrow waxing!! I've been growing mine for the past 2 weeks to get them done tomorrow and I am dreading it!!! I get so red after and it doesn't go away for a couple hours

sleepyrobin i love those pants! where'd you find those?
i found this foto on the inspiration section of amy butler's website. she is an awesome textile designer. she doesn't sell the pants, and she doesn't have a pattern for them, but i'm sure you could pick up a pattern for wide-leg drawstring pants from the craft store and get some of her fabric and make your own. that's what i'm going to do ;D
she does, however, have a ton of great patterns, and some of them are free. my favorite is the pattern for these "fabric necklaces"
here's the link to the free pattern section of her website, if anyone is interested:
I stumbled upon this forum while looking for other ways to wear my Kariza, and I see that many of you also share the love!
I figured it would be a great idea to try to make our own little instructional site, so I started a thread under "the other tent". Take a look, and please contribute your wonderful ideas!
Thanks so much!!!
P.S. I'm also looking to get my hands on the instructional DVD, which I didn't get with my Kariza for some reason. If anyone is willing to share somehow, please let me know at xxxxxx.

hey heavenly, welcome to the inforoo boards! yes, we do love karizas! i think you can get the kariza video on youtube, so that might be good so you don't have to buy it or anything. i hope that helps! do you like bonnaroo? or you just found us because of karizas? either way it's cool...but i can't believe you wouldn't be tempted to go to 'roo after reading about all the fun & excitement that bonnaroo holds!
oh, and to welcome you to the boards, i'd like to present you with your first karma!

well, is threading painful in your opinion? i've never even waxed my brows before because it looks like it hurts too much.

i LOVE the VS so sexy products.
I've never used VS, but I LOVED Ralph Lauren shampoo.. it made your hair smell & feel amazing! But it's so hard to find.
And my parents got me Ralph Lauren Rocks for Christmas, and I thought I wasn't going to like it because I just liked the regular Ralph Lauren, but it smells AMAZING!
