2. I bought the Teva Kayenta (in walnut) last night at a local store. They are SO cute and SO comfortable.
Mine arrived today. They're really cute, but I'm worried about the straps since they're so thin...I feel like they could cut my feet if I'm tromping around in them all day. I'm going to wear them around here for a while before I decide if I'm bringing them to Roo.
The moccasins I ordered, however, are craaaaaazy comfy! Though I think they need orthotics or something though for a little more support.
Ahh, Roo shopping.
I wore them for about 4 hours last night and all was OK. However, that was only 4 hours...and I was walking around my house. I'll continue the test this weekend.

Good to know! I'll continue to test as well I definitely think I'm going to keep them, just not sure if they'll make the trek to Tennessee.
Katy Mae - I have that stuff and it rocks my world! ...It still amazes me how it turns from a gel to a powder, and im a chemist! AvacodoLady - I've read that the bodyglide gets a bit sticky in the heat... but I'm also willing to try anything
Mostly, I just need to hit up the Wal-Mart and get some old-school biking shorts. Last year, i worked the soothing care and wore like, cheer shorts under my dresses, but it kinda defeated the purpose of wearing a dress.

BodyGlide is fab - I use it when I wear a skirt that isn't bike short-friendly. It's also great to use on your feet for shoes that rub. I've never had a problem with it getting sticky.
But I have to say, nothing beats bike shorts. You don't have to worry about getting powder everywhere or possibly reapplying or any other mess. Plus they stop the sweat from dripping down your leg.
I just heard that Old Navy is having a sale on flip flops tomorrow, all solid colors are just $1! I know HGH works there, but I haven't heard her say anything about it...

^^ I was just going to post about the $1 flip flop sale! My mom and I are going to be there when they open at 9 and since it's a limit of 5 per person, we'll probably be recruiting my little brother haha.
I wouldn't recommend flip flops to actually walk around centeroo in, but I would bring a pair for hanging out around the campsite if you just want your feet to breathe a little or something.
Also, for anyone who is getting married and needs gifts for their bridesmaids & such, the flip flops are an awesome idea! My cousin's wife bought old navy flip flops and decorated them for her girls in the bridal party, and they were just a cute touch to the gifts she got them.
Does anyone else have problems with smocked dresses chafing your skin? Some of mine do and some don't. The one I bought today @ Roo is so cute. It is purple & yellow (Geaux LSU) tie dye and strapless. The smocked part is bugging the hell out of my skin. First, I cannot go braless with this kind of dress so I bought a bra with yellow & purple straps to match the dress so it looks like the straps are part of the dress...but the damn smocking just is driving me crazy. I am thinking about wearing a yellow tank under it so there is something in between my skin and the smocking....but it is not as cute that way. Boo! Comfort wins though! Anyone else have this issue?

Oh yes, I don't promote flip-flop day because it brings out the worst in people.
I lucked out and asked off for the BBQ at Meg's long before we knew it was going to be Flip-Flop Day. Our flip-flops are really durable, I wore a pair last year around the campsite at 'roo and they held up great. You can't beat a dollar for a pair of flip-flops! Kristen I'd definitely recruit your little brother and get there EARLY and expect people to be greedy.
Other than that, we do have lots of cute stuff out. Our women's stuff is new this week.

just wore my favorite flips on my 5mi walk around the block and i got two blisters! wtf?! i never get flip flop blisters but these havea weird rubber thong and it was sticky last night. crap.
as for regular shoes i am bringing these walking shoes i bought last year for the gym at ross on clearance: www.amazon.com/Easy-Spirit-Womens-Pickoff-Sport/dp/B000FXXB8U becuas ethey are so comfy, but if they get sacrificed to the roo gods i'll be sad - i love these shoes, they are feather light!
As expected, the $1 were pretty much gone by the time that I got to Old Navy. They had some cute things, but I've been such a scrooge with my money lately, I couldn't fork over the $24.50 for a top.

Just bought a couple of adorable dresses from H&M last weekend on our adventure to Atlanta...I really love that store. I could spend hours (and tons of money) in it. Too bad the one in ATL is the only one remotely near me
One is a peackcock-print jersey tube dress, and the other is a yellow and grey striped sundress. Dunno if that one will actually make it to Bonnaroo, though.
Has anybody been in Forever 21 lately? Last time I was in there they had little tie-dye dresses on sale for $11.50, and I'm tempted to pick a couple up for Roo...

-Dresses with pockets were constructed by geniuses. -The Teva Kayenta did fine on my feet this weekend. Even had a trial run at a music/nudist/magic festival in BFE which (even though I've never been) simulated Bonnaroo well. -I wore a smocked dress to said festival sans bra and all was A-OK. But we're all built a little different... -I played dress-up last night and tried on some of my Roo outfits (I'll wear this one to construct the campsite, this one is for Phish, etc.). -I also had my first Bonnaroo dream last night...we're getting so close!
