as far as i understand last year they took it down to 90,000 from 100,000.
I'm pretty sure the ticket sales went from 90k in 05 to 80k in 06. Since the festival sold out last year with 80K people I could see them increasing the ticket sales back to 90K to make more money. I feel like 90K people would be overkill, last year was 80K and it was packed, so to degrade the integrity of the experience just to make a few extra bucks by increasing the number of tickets will maybe hint at their commitment to keeping the festival as groooovy as possible.
it was 90k+ in 04 and it was still great. though i wouldnt want that many again. and by sunday the porta potty cleaning had slowed down and things got nasty in spots. though thtta had alot to do with the mud caused by the giant storm.

There were actually less People in 05 than in 06, even though they claimed they reduced the ticket count to 80,000, they actually only sold about 77,000 in 05. Dude is right, they sold in 90K in 04, which is the biggest to date. I'm pretty sure they'll stay at 80,000 and won't raise it, b/c they don't really need to. All they need to do is increase ticket price, which they have done every year since Bonnaroo's inception.
Tickets went onsale in the early part of february last year, a week after the initial artist announcement.
There used to be a homeless guy in my town that was always in his underwear in the summer. Always reminded me of the weird naked indian guy in Wayne's World II. He died in a house fire a few years ago. Very sad.
