as many know i have had a broken leg for the last 10mos now, and am working on getting good enough at walking for roo this year, with that it just occurred to me that once i lose this walking cast (hopefully tuesday) i will have nothing supporting my ankle. the problem there is that i have never been able to stand wearing high-top boots or things like that- what would be the best and least hot support for a severely arthritic ankle in bonnaroo extremes?

Im sure they make some sort of ankle brace you could wear after having the cast taken off... There's probably some sort of athletic brace you could wear with somewhat normal footwear i would imagine... Im not an expert though, talk to your doctor about it...
I would recommend getting an ace bandage and doing a figure eight wrap on your ankle. I got a number of ankle injuries while playing football in H.S. and that is always what the doctors would do.
This is what I have for my ankle after 2 ankle surgeries involving bone grafts. I love it and it gives me great stability. I can actually run again wearing this brace.
right now i am in an aircast...i've had it for a little over a month, next week i get a "walking shoe" whatever that is, i have just been precautioned that in a couple years it is very likely that i will have to get my ankle fused and in the mean time i will have pretty severe arthritis. right now i only have about 10% range of motion in my ankle, it is gradually getting better. that brace looks like it would do the trick thanks bos
damm that does kinda suck, good to hear that your walkin though, even if it is with a walking cast. they tell me ill probably have mad arthritis in my ankle sometime down the line. keep gettin better and all that. if you think it might still be an issue at all by the time roo comes around you might want to throw an email to access@bonnaroo.com, they might be able to make arrangments that would keep the walking down to a minimum, so you dont get stuck out in BFE or something.
more than welcome Amber - if you see another female hobbling around with that brace on - it is more than likely gonna be me - I know what you mean about the arthritis and lack of motion. I have started taking glucosimine in the hope that it will help somewhat
glucosimine worked great for my mom, she has degenerative arthritis in her hip and spine, i have a hard time with it, most gloc...supliments have sulfur to help the body digest, and my dumb luck is to be alergic to sulfur
