Dungen/Woods sounds exactly like how I thought it would and is very cool and good.
Also, I feel like I'm the only one out there who's enjoying Jack White. I mean, not every track is a winner but it's not necessarily a huge dropoff from Lazaretto either...

I think it's his best solo album. A lot of the reviews have focused on the lack of songwriting, which is fair, but I don't think he's been this musically interesting since the White Stripes.
I see myself going back to this more than Lazaretto or Blunderbuss

I agree with you guys. Digging some of the dirtier junk guitar riffing on this album.
I enjoyed Boarding House Reach well enough, but I think it's quite a few steps below Blunderbuss, and about on par with Lazaretto. Connected By Love has grown on me and there are def some standout tracks, but there are some that just don't connect at all, IMO. Like that one where he raps...Ice Station Zebra? Fucking shoot me. That's the most skippable track I've heard from Jack White in a long time, perhaps ever.
5.5/four tet, daphni b2b floating points, avalon emerson 5.12/neil young 5.19/mannequin pussy 5.21/serpentwithfeet 5.25/hozier 6.12-16/bonnaroo 6.28/goose 6.29/goose 9.17/the national + the war on drugs 9.23/sigur ros 9.27-29/making time 10.17/air

Maybe it's just not for you, but this live version is killer imo
