Who am I kidding. You know it will be an HM. Totally not as strong as the last one though. 7.5 of 10, maybe?
This feels like a betrayal. 7.5/10? smh
I will say though that I can understand it. Ariana has always been a trend chaser, but this feels a bit more...obvious than last time. Deep house track and all.
I may go 8. That said, it might go higher this weekend when I get the karaoke version from my wife. I do like the album though. I just don't think it's as strong as My Everything.

There are tracks on Chance I love and tracks I skip.
I really feel like the opening track with Kanye is a missed opportunity. There is a great song buried in that mix somewhere. And that opening two minutes of How Great is really tedious on repeat listens.
But Same Drugs, No Problem, Angels, Blessings, Smoke Break, etc are really great. I'll listen to it for a while, but it won't beat Acid Rap for replay value.
Radiohead is the album to beat this month, and that's without really feeling Present Tense or Tinker Tailor yet.

I'm not sure what Chance thinks he can gain by continuing to put out mixtapes that are poorly mixed and have some questionable features (and don't make him any money, and won't be considered for a Grammy, and so on). He's got the clout to get a good deal from a label, he should just sign.

I think the album is pretty great. Like most major pop releases, it could probably stand to be about 4-5 songs shorter. However, there are some seriously solid tracks.
It makes me happy listening to it for reasons that are difficult to explain without sounding conceited or possibly creepy.

I don't think he's in it for personal gain - at least not the kind that comes from money and accolades. He likes making music and wants to continue doing that in a way that pleases him - so why sign to a label if he doesn't have to? It looks to me like he's having the time of his life and is doing just fine without one.

People are gonna get pissy when their vote isn't counted for lack of cover art.
Fine then. A Moon Shaped Pool.
I apologize if I touched a nerve, it seems I have. I'm just sick of seeing "YOU DIDN'T COUNT MY VOTE!!!!1!" posts a week after voting ends. It also revolves around an album that clearly won.
