Smart is coaching at Bama through the postseason. I bet Saban threatened his family. I also read that Saban isn't letting Cochran go without a fight.
I wouldn't leave a team that's going to the playoff. I know the new school wants them to get started on recruiting and all that. But if you're about to play for a national championship that would be hard to leave.

In regards to recruiting, I'm sure that it wouldn't hurt to roll into people's houses with a shiny new national championship ring either or at least just another check on the resume that you coached well in the big games.
Everyone and their mom has been rumored to be taking over at South Carolina.
There's been a ton of chatter about Muschamp. Obviously I'm biased and want him to stick around Auburn a little longer but... that would be the worst fucking idea ever, right? He floated somewhere between fine and terrible for his whole tenure. What's going to change if he takes the SCar job?

He is also reportedly a possibility to be Georgia's new DC.
I have also heard that Muschamp is not going to be back at Auburn next year regardless of what happens with other jobs.

DC at UGA would make a lot more sense.
I hadn't heard anything about him being out no matter what though. Even though our D was doo doo the first half of the I thought we got better as the year went on. I mainly want him to stick around because he's a great recruiter and we need some damn stability at DC.
Arizona State OC Mike Norvell hired by Memphis to be their new HC.
Everyone and their mom has been rumored to be taking over at South Carolina.
That is a great hire for Memphis. I was actually thinking about norvell during this season and how he would be a hot commodity in the future. He was the guy behind ASU's explosive offense the past couple years, and Memphis is a good size school for him to get a hang of HC duties.
Sooooo Eason might be having second thoughts on UGA...
not sure if I buy into that. I would be shocked if he flipped to anyone besides Miami.
The only quotes I've seen from Eason himself say he is staying. That's what I would trust first and foremost. And yes Miami would make the most sense but I don't think Florida is out of the question. McElwain is an offensive guy but they've sputtered at the end here. You can definitely sell a highly sought after QB on something like that.

Our star RB, James Conner, who was 2014 ACC Offensive POY but missed all but one half of one game this season with a knee injury, just announced he was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma, the same cancer Eric Berry had. Devastated for this kid, to say the least.
Man...I really hope Eason becomes a Gator. Flordia hasn't had a five star QB since Tebow.
Also, it seems like I am in the minority here but....I'm not impressed with Rich Rod. 47-42 since he left WVU, 23-36 in conference play. I'm glad he's not in Blacksburg, and I don't think he would have much success in the SEC.

I think it's unfair to judge him solely by record. When he got here the program was in shambles recruiting wise. He has done pretty remarkable things with less than great pieces. His first four years have each ended in a bowl game, the first time in program history with four consecutive bowls.
