OU being three spots in front of ND makes no sense, and this is coming from a guy who roots against ND.
I'm more of a resume guy than a "who's hot/who's not" kind of guy. ND one loss is to #1 Clemson, OU one loss is to Texas....an opponent that ND thrashed. The whole "OU has beat two top 20 team's in a row while ND struggled with BC" seems so irrational. Also, the TCU win for OU wasn't even impressive. All of TCU studs were hurt.

BC has one of the best defenses in the country as well. They just have a dismal offense so they don't win.

If anyone was going to jump them (into the top 4) I would vote Mich St over Oklahoma.
potentpotables - I know this is way late in the game but if you know anyone that is looking for tickets for tomorrow, I have 2 to get rid of. I have to work. They are my season tickets. $free.99 if you know anyone that will use them
So the Beavers were 36 point underdogs to the Ducks today. Sure didn't look like it during the second half of the game.
It's surprising knowing how badly this team played all season, fell behind 31-7 at the half, and in the last 30 minutes of the year went all out and put a scare on the rivals. Where was this most of the year?
I have no idea what to expect out of them next year.
So yeah, be thankful your team didn't finish 2-10 and winless in conference play.
Is it official announced or inside info? If it's true, that's a good hire for them even if I'm not a fan because of the Tennessee-Virginia Tech series.
Thank God I didn't suggest Fireball shots after every Tiger touchdown for the Miami game. It was far from pretty but my team is undefeated in regular season for the first time since I became a fan 21 years ago.

It's official now. I (and it seems like most Hokie football fans) are happy with the hire. Got my hopes up when I heard Dan Mullen may be possible, but Fuente seems like he will be good coach.
Glad Beamer last game wasn't a loss to UVA...that would been terrible. Let's go Gators tonight!
The thing I never really liked was, when a coach moves to a new team, they abandon the old team asap. Say with Fuente here, he can't coach for Memphis in the bowl game after agreeing with VT. Don't you think it would make sense to wait until after the Memphis bowl game and then switch? Already made it this far.
I suggest coaching changes become official the day after the nat'l championship.

Coaches want to move as soon as possible after the hire in order to get the ball rolling at their new school. If a coach is getting fired, their recruiting class is probably going to be a little sketchy. Even if it's not, multiple recruits will likely decommit upon the announcement. The new coach has to make up for that which is difficult especially since all the rival schools have been working non-stop the entire season. All that is one of the hurdles that non Power Five schools have in that recruits are sometimes reluctant to make the for year commitment due to worries about the coach leaving for greener pastures before they graduate.

Congrats to sang_xcx for taking home the pick 'em title this year. Sorry, custeph, but that cements my need for Clemson to lose. I can only take so much smug from him in one season.

I wonder if Georgia has a lead on someone they are going to bring in as the replacement.
I'm still shocked. Figured they'd atleast give him next year with Eason coming in.
Hopefully that means they have a good hire locked down. Not getting my hopes up, though.
Yeah. It's just odd that they fired him the day after the season ended when they won and bowl eligibility wasn't at stake with the game. Makes me think they have someone in line but I wonder who they would be confident about especially since the generally agreed best prospect, Fuente, has already been hired.
