And Drake...really? This month? Did you listen to !!!, you might be into that.
It may be four years old but it's the album of the month for me! That's what really counts.
And nah I haven't checked them out yet. Honestly other than Big Grams this is the first new album I've listened to in a little bit. I'll add !!! to the list but tbh I probably won't get around to them.
I didnt get around to listening to !!! before the voting ended (Joanna was so clearly my winner, I didn't feel obliged to race to listen to tons of others before the deadline hit), but now I have - and, so great! Gonna see them this Thursday at the Black Cat, I think. Will let you guys know how they are live.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Out Hud was X1000000 better. I'm not a dancer but I totally lost my shit at that show cutting a rug.
If you haven't seen !!!, that's not a want, that's a need.
E: On topic.
1a. Grimes - Art Angels 1b. Anna von Hausswolff - The Miraculous 3. Oneohtrix Point Never - Garden Of Delete 4. Floating Points - Elaenia 5. Ellie Goulding - Delirium
Lets face it. It's really gonna be between a and b.

Like Dave and Gl said, !!! are so much fun live. I'm not really what you'd call a "coordinated dancer", but I was getting the fuck down at their show! I can't wait to see them in a few weeks!
Nic Offer (the lead singer) is a party in a bottle. Dave said it before, but it bares repeating. He's a national treasure
Regarding AotM, Grimes is def leading the pack. Still need to check out Floating Points and OPN.

November is the month of the bleep bloops so far. Some of these albums just sound like someone fucking around with a synthesizer that has the arpeggiator activated.

I listened to Floating Points last night for the first time and again this morning. Can someone tell me if the last track is supposed to cut off so abruptly? It's a really fucking jarring silence to end that album, especially given the nature of that last song.
edit. I'm loving it so far though. I don't know if it has what it takes to beat Grimes, however. Gonna grab that Anna von Hausswolff album in the next couple days.

Yeah, that was seriously the only complaint I had about the entire album. It leaves a sour taste in your mouth the first time you listen to the album because you're completely blind sided. But it got better for me after a couple listens and I knew it was coming. The rest of the album is amazing to me

I don't want to like this Grimes album, but I kinda do. I don't think it's gonna beat Adele though.
You're only hurting yourself by fighting it. Come dance with us at the Grimes Party. Adele will be there when you get back.
It's mostly because I'm really tired of the high-pitched-female-vocals-over-electronic-shiz schtick that's been sticking around for a while, and she falls pretty much in line with that. I've only listened to a few songs on her album, but what I've heard has been very well-done sonically and melodically. It's forcing me to keep an open mind about new artists in genres I'm not crazy about, which objectively is a good thing, but I also want these bleep-bloopers to get off my lawn.
