It is! I have everything moved in, but the guy who is going to help me hang up my pictures and diploma won't be able to help for a couple of weeks. I'll send snaps once I've got everything up.
I'm oddly overly excited to see it! I love checking out where people work/live.
Also, it didn't dawn on me that I should dust off my diploma and put it in my office until about a week ago. Duh. The frame and document have just been sitting at my parents house for the last decade or so.
I only have mine because my grandmother got them framed for me. In typing this, I just realized that I have no idea what I did with my NV law license. My TN license is framed, but I don't even know where my NV one is. Oops.
We operate on driver dj rules. It's the only way anyone volunteers to drive. Haha.
I always do driver dj as well. I hate driving so much that I will listen to about anything if someone else will drive. But if I do drive don't touch my radio because I will slap the shit out of your hand for it.

mine is at my parents' house, still in the poster tube in which it was mailed. I don't think I have actually even seen it, come to think of it.

I always thought that it was driver dj. I am a control freak and always drive. If we are in my car and I am driving, we are listening to my music... ALWAYS.

Me too, this is the first I've heard of passenger dj. I think I don't mess with people's radio because of Rush Hour.
I love to drive but also part of why I love doing it is because I get to rock out to my preferred music. So yeah, I definitely prefer to DJ if I'm driving, but often the passenger will ask to DJ, and if I'm feeling nice that day, I'll concede. IF I'm feeling nice.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

hahahahaha That exact line was going through my head when I was typing my response.
Sometimes the gf and I will overrule each other, based on how much the other one hates it. Or she'll tell me to go put it on something while she's busy paying attention to driving. Or sometimes I just don't care and change it off the commercials and pick something I like. I don't play that fair when it comes to the radio.
I am in the worst mood today. I think it's because I decided to take a "nap" before work. Which really was just me listening to the TV and trying to ignore my vibrating phone for what was supposed to be 15 mins, which turned into 30 mins. So I was running late. And by late I mean I got to work at 10:53 when my shift starts at 11. But second shift is so used to me being early and relieving people at 10:45 that when I relieved them at 10:53 he made a comment about needing an OT slip. Implying that he shouldn't have been here that long. Dipshit, you get paid till 11. STFU and be happy you're getting up 7mins early.
Then I have officers giving me tude for no reason. So guess what, car 443, your ass is getting sent to every stupid fucking drunk asshole call we get. And stupid non-injury accidents too. Go fuck yourself. I'm not in the mood.
On the bright side, I got my electronics privelages back. So now I can listen to music to distract me from my bad mood.

I hate people like that. When I was working retail in high school I always had to open my department and my manger was always super late. He wouldn't change my schedule because he couldn't manage to get to work that early he said. He was buddies with the store manager and could do what he wanted. I ended up transferring and at the same time so did the store GM. 2 weeks later he was fired for being late every morning.
for real though i know you hate me for complaining, but sometimes having a break makes going back on monday hard as quack. on top of that, i have a 504 meeting (federal education shiz) which means dealing with admin and parents (woo!) and then after school we have staff meeting and STAAR standardized test training. yay!!!!!! (that's my excited voice)
Having breaks does make Mondays really not fun. I work remotely so I can make my own schedule which sometimes means I'll just put in 2 super long days and give myself 7+ days off. Then I can binge watch Netflix shows, or go to the casino for unhealthy amounts of time. It sounds rediculous, but I understand your case of the Mondays.
I will need 50 hours of PTO for the upcoming California/Coachella trip. I will have 49.89 I hate accumulating PTO.
Can you work over a little one day? It'd be one thing if it was hours, but .11 hours is something your supervisor might go for.
Yes I can work over, but it's still irritating. When I get the flu over the holidays, I had to take PTO I wasn't planning to take so it screwed up my accumulation for this trip.

1) We got another email from the admin in charge of the vehicle pool yesterday telling us she is requiring us to make sure to tag any multi-day vehicle requests with "overnight" if we need the vehicle overnight. Apparently, "same vehicle 3/23 through 3/26" isn't sufficient because that could mean we want the same vehicle during working hours for all those days. Yes, I am going to drive back and forth to Nashville every day four days in a row. That makes total sense. 2) Also, with the way the cars have been reserved for it, the ride to an overnight training next month is going to be less than ideal because it'll either be with a supervisor or with people I would rather not spend six hours in a car with. Fun!

That's rough. I had to use a few days because of the snow. I am hoping it doesn't bite me in the ass this Spring/Summer.

My supervisor's procrastination is making me look bad, and I don't know that there's anything I can do about it. I've been so mad all morning that I just want to scream. It has taken him over a week to return something to me that should have taken less than a day. And it's not like he was so busy with things with more pressing deadlines because yesterday, he returned something to me that won't be due for almost two weeks, whereas this thing should have been turned in last week. Now, I have an email from a judge who wants to know where it is, and I can't respond until I get the go ahead from my supervisor. And even when I do respond, and send the thing back, there's no way for me to say, "oh, and by the way, I had this done a week ago, but have been waiting on _____ to actually review it." So it just looks like I sat on it until he sent the email asking for it and then hurried and sent it back.
Stepped on a piece of a broken pallet, had a nail puncture through the bottom of my shoe.
Thankfully there's a good half inch of rubber on the bottom of the shoe, or else I'd have a decent puncture wound in the middle of my right foot. Instead I got nothing more than a minor surface wound.
I want my workplace to go shoeless. I take mine off at my desk, but put them on when I walk around. I'd stop doing that in a heartbeat if I thought I could get away with it.

I would take my shoes off at work all the time, until one day we were going to print, and I was running around. I kicked a box with my toe and I knew it was broken right when I did it. I didn't think it was that bad honestly, until I propped my foot up on my desk.
