Mista Don't Play, the only thing I would say about Couch is that he is the backup DT, so it has to be a little easier for them to sit him voluntarily than if it would have been McCullers or AJ Johnson. Also, I also saw on ESPN last night that there have already been numerous inconsistencies pointed out in the statements of people involved in the OkSt allegations. It certainly isn't helping their overall credibility so far.
he's been the #2 wr for the first 2 games. we have other guys but they're going to have to step up.

I had seen that, but I didn't know if he was actually #2 on the depth chart. Was he a solid #2 on the depth chart or were others jockeying for position?

that was the question going into the season. who was going to be the 2nd wr option after Sammy and through the first 2 games it was him. but there are 3 other guys that would start for pretty much any team.
I agree. If you want to protect your players, DO NOT THROW THAT PASS!
I think it's just another thing that is going to shift the balance toward the offenses again. If you watched the play, the defender was just trying to go after the pass and make a play. Because he ended up colliding with the receiver, he gets a flag thrown on him and would have been tossed from the game unless they had that replay rule in effect. Even the announcers said it looked like the defender actually touched the ball first. Players and coaches are going to start seeing stuff like that and pulling back instead of going in for plays like that. I am totally fine with the targeting penalty in general because I think it puts players back to using fundamentals in tackling, but they have to watch the enforcement of it.
Oh I watched the play and came off the couch when I saw the flag. I disagree with the targeting rule in general. My understanding, that even with perfect tacking fundamentals, one could still get a flag for targeting. To me it is BS, if you do not want to get hit, do not suit up, do not want your clocked clean when you run a route across the middle, do not throw that pass. Next thing it will be illegal to hit/block players not with in 5 yards of the ball. Like if a player is getting ready to tackle the ball carrier, my running back, so here I come to make that block and clean that defensive guys clock. He did not see me coming, he was watching the running back. Next thing they are going to do is flag me for the hit on a defensive less player, because he did not see me coming. Granted if a receive is a step after he missed the catch and you come in and hit him, foul yes, but this is not flag football, yet I feel they are making it more that way every year.
And just so you know, we are not friends for the next 6 days. and quack that announcer who said during the Oregon game that UT can wait to see Florida offensive next week. Or some BS like that.

You want to talk about defenseless players? What about defenseless teams! My beloved Golden Bears rank 120th out of 123 teams in total defense - giving up an average of 556.3 yards per game. Hopefully, they can get that number into a more respectable range after next week's game in Eugene against Oregon (which is 2nd in the country in total offense with 672 yards per game).

Oh, wait. ???
I think your D is going to set a record or allow one.

How are there still articles written where it is a question as to whether Mack Brown is on the hot seat?
Butch Jones stated yesterday that the QB competition is "wide open" this week leading up to the Florida game. Is it really open or is he just trying to light a fire under Worley? We shall see.
Austin, Texas (AP) - A somber Mack Brown addressed the media today, apologizing for the Texas Longhorns' embarrassing 66-17 loss to bitter rival Oklahoma next month.
"I want to apologize to all Texas fans in advance," said a visibly-shaken Brown. "66-17 is unacceptable. I'm as disappointed as anybody about how the team will play against Oklahoma on October 12. But you can't look back at next month's loss and torture yourself with ‘What ifs?' You have to move on."
It's gameday & I am wearing my orange! Part of me wishes I was going to Raleigh tonight, but there is only so much wolfpack crap I can handle. Hate those annoying wolf hand gestures, and the godawful howling sounds, and their PA guy, and the music they play, and their tailgating. I think I could throw in some more things but I'll leave it at that.
NC State is always full of surprises every year, such as beating #3 FSU at home last year. I'm a little nervous about this game tonight, especially since it is in Raleigh and we're #3.

Strange things happen at Carter Finley on Thursday nights. Don't see an upset coming tonight, though. Wolfpack on their backup QB and are still implementing a new offense. Talent gap isn't as wide as some would lead you to believe, but I still don't see State pulling it off.

Dabo & Co. better give the team a good talk about keeping their shiz together and get them fired up to come out strong over the next couple of weeks after that.
I still look at our schedule and can't see anyone but FSU and SC being good enough to beat us. we're just not as good as some of the teams that we have jumped like Stanford or Ohio St and we're probably not as good as A&M or LSU either.
I haven't been in here much even though I love football; I don't necessarily enjoy talking about it that much lol. But I wanted to share something. My hubby and one of his buddies created this parody to celebrate Bama's win over Texas A&M last week, and it's gained some popularity.
Youtube is blocked here at my office so I hope this works.
I have decided I don't really care if Tennessee has a legit shot tomorrow so...
Fun fact: Scrog punched a kitten once. In response, Florida gave him an honorary doctorate.
I have a dumb friend (UT alum/alleged mega-fan) who scheduled his dumb wedding at 5:00 p.m. CST tomorrow. In reality, he is probably doing us all a favor, but I always have a glimmer of hope and it would suck to miss the termination of UF's win streak against UT.
Arian Foster admits in documentary he took money at Tennessee
"I called my coach and I said, 'Coach, we don't have no food. We don't have no money. We're hungry. Either you give us some food, or I'm gonna go do something stupid.' He came down and he brought like 50 tacos for like four or five of us. Which is an NCAA violation. [laughs] But then, I walk up to the facility and I see my coach pull up in a brand new Lexus."
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
