Thank goodness we'll be at Bonnaroo for the initial Tebow-fest on that channel where all the dudes dress up and wear a bunch of makeup and talk drama and Stuart Scott 'Bamm' and Stephen A. Smith "Kobe is a dear friend of mine" and Skip Bayless I'll always say the second thing that pops into my mind stuff. ESPN has become MTV3. Why do they beat it into the ground so? I don't think anyone really cares anymore. I rarely watch ESPN anymore. Hoping that the new Fox Sports Network does what it says it will when it launches.

Belichick utilizes players skill sets at different positions better than any other coach. Hernadez has played RB. Both Troy Brown and Julian Edelman saw time at defensive back. We all know how successful Mike Vrabel was in the red zone as a TE. I could definitely see Tebow lining up as a HB/FB or TE.
Yeah, I knew about Vrabel catching TD's and Edelman/Brown playing DB. I'm betting most coaches wouldn't have thought of Danny Woodhead as a Welker type player either.
But with Gronk's injury problems and Hernandez (getting cut/going to jail/both) ... need someone to fill in and produce.

The Pats will come up with something for Tebow. I don't see Brady lining up at WR to give Timmy some snaps in the wildcat, but this staff will have him out there contributing somehow.
LOL. Without fail someone always says that. No, that wasn't a terrible pass. That pass is thrown 2 steps into Tebow's route. It's a timing pattern. Is it the perfect pass for that play? No. But Tim runs a terrbile route, doesn't whip his head around and leaves his hands down because he doesn't know where to look for the ball.
That is 100% Tebow's fault. He can't play TE because he's not a receiver. He's a power runner and that's it. Either make him a goal line RB or your 3rd string QB/project player.
Even if he were to have caught that he more than likely would have been tackled immediately. It came close to being picked off.
Believe it or not, there are passes designed to only get 4-5 yards. It's basically a high-percentage passing play that's supposed to operate like a running play, not going for big yards, but instead just trying to put the offense in an easier 3rd down situation.
If Tebow runs that route correctly he would have ran more vertical to keep that defender from flying in full speed. He immediately turned and rounded his route, I assume for fear of not getting to the spot in time. What you had was a route that was shallow and allowed the defender to fly in without worry that Tebow could turn upfield on a double-move. That is a simple play that Tebow couldn't execute because he doesn't have the necessary route-running skill. I know you love Tebow, but he's not a good NFL player.

No, I don't love Tebow at all. I think he has a lot of drive and is a decent football player. It just seems like Sanchez was going to throw that pass there whether he was open or not. Perhaps Tebow ran the route wrong, but Sanchez didn't notice because he threw the ball right at his head.If the route was designed to go vertical why didn't Sanchize throw the ball further up field? The pass is obviously released before Tebow makes the cut.
Sanchez threw the ball before Tebow even made his break. Like I said, it was a timing play. Basically a 1-step drop that Mark is supposed to throw unless there is a defender clearly going to pick it off. If it makes you feel any better I think it's a terrible play in general.
Vince wilfork is pretty bad at route-running. Does that make him a bad nfl player?
Before you jump on me for that anaology, my point is this: If coach wants tebow to be part of the offense in some non-third-string-qb way, he will get plenty of practice at whatever it is he is being asked to do. If he's incapable of doing it, he'll be cut (or relegated to being ryan mallett's meth gofer). Simple as that.
Basically a 1-step drop that Mark is supposed to throw unless there is a defender clearly going to pick it off.
And it almost was picked. We'll see if the Pats do try to incorporate this guy into their gameplan. If they do I'm sure they will have better play designs and better decision making by Brady when those plays aren't there.
