Well, his original warrant was for obstruction of justice, but I could see an accessory to murder charge added if they have someone put Hernandez at the scene.
RT @patriots: The New England #Patriots have released Aaron Hernandez
Well...that was quick.
Just a function of how they have had time to discuss it before his arrest. The Pats had probably talked about it and had already decided to release him if he got arrested.
Well, typically teams wait for guys to be convicted (if they're important players, at least). That must mean the evidence is damning and either the team or Hernandez doesn't expect things to go well for him.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gets added as an accomplice to murder. Probably conspiracy as well. Then again, for all we know, he did it himself.
Everything released about the murder leads one to believe it was not pre-planned, it sounds like an in-the-moment transgression that Hernandez was present for and then tried to cover up. It sounds most like a drug deal gone bad to me.

If he played for any other team, I would think that him being released would mean the charge(s) is serious, or the evidence is damning, but with the Pats, who knows.
They didn't release him without knowledge of the case against him. NFL teams all have security departments, which are basically retired local police, so they can find out details about stuff like this before it is made public. They almost definitely know what's coming.
The best part is that his arms are tucked in his shirt like he thinks maybe people won't realize he's handcuffed.
I think it was moreso Knock Knock get up Hernandez you going to jail today. Probably didnt want the NFL weightroom trained TE making a break for it getting out of bed and putting on a shirt.

Yea, I know they have more information than we do and I anticipate the charge to be more significant than obstruction of justice, just noting that the Pats would be one of the few organizations that don't take the "wait and see" approach.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.

Obviously murder is wrong and all that, but looking past that horror for a moment, Hernandez couldn't have left a clearer trail to his own conviction.
Tejas - the "person" was confirmed to be Hernandez by someone who saw it. He walks into the house and it shuts off right before he goes into the basement.

I had the same thought. I guess Aaron was too busy these past 20 some years preparing to be a criminal football player, because he obviously hasn't been watching any television. Gun shots? Phone records? The guy couldn't even fully edit himself out of his own personal surveillance equiptment.

A few episodes of Sons of Anarchy and I can sweep my trail better then dumping a body a mile away and having a home video of the night...So is he being charged for the murder as in he pulled the trigger or just an accessory of murder?
Just want to be sure that you folks didn't miss out on the news about Ausar Walcott, who is in jail right now awaiting trial for attempted murder. He was drafted signed as an UDFA by the Browns. In April.

HAHAHA he punched someone in the face and is getting so many charges thrown at him. Kinda a shame when ya put a drunken altercation next to a execution style murder on the same day.
