I'm sorry to see D Ware leaving Dallas. One of the most memorable games for me from him was a few years ago against the Saints where he appeared to be lost for the season to a neck injury and returned to get the game clinching sack. The Boys cap is just a total mess.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
I like what Idzik is doing. He made an example out of Austin Howard, who now gets $6 mil per over 5 years instead of $5 over 4 (the rumored Jets offer) to go lose double-digit games every year. Idzik apparently drew a line in the sand and told Austin to pick what side he wanted to be on. I don't fault what Howard did, btw. He was an UDFA so this is literally the only big payday he'll ever have, but I like how Idzik handled it. Now they're going to probably sign Breno Giacomini (Seattle's starting RT last year) for less years/dollars than Howard and have zero dropoff in play.
I'm proud of the Redskins for finally showing some restraint and not returning to their role as offseason champs now that the cap penalty is over. It's certainly possible that they tried and no one wanted to come to this sh*t show, but that's ok as long as it reaches the same result. Still some glaring holes to fill, but at least Washington is not of the mindset that 1 or 2 high-priced superstars will suddenly make them contenders.
The Pats better send a dump truck full of money over to Julian Edelman's house right about now.
They offered him a 3 year and he didn't take it.... It's not happening. I fully expect them to get Steve Smith for cheap now, strictly to torment Talib.

You do realize Steve Smith is like a thousand years old in NFL years, right?

Ya, I was mostly kidding. I wouldn't actually want him unless it's one of those basically come play for free and prove yourself type deals.

I hate when certain talking heads/ESPN pundits praise Elway for this kind of stuff. Last night I read so many tweets that were like "John Elway knows how to close deals! John Elway is a masterful GM!" He closed the deal because he overpaid, on the first day of free agency, and a few years from now when Denver is in full-on rebuild mode, they'll finally feel it.

To be fair, he got TJ Ward for far less than anticipated.
He has other guys deal with agents, then they bring a player to Mile High and he shakes hands with the ledge and he closes them. That's legit. But yeah in 2 years everyone will fucking hate him in Denver if these deals don't translate to a Super Bowl.

So any expendable player from the Seahawks apparently comes straight to Jax. Couple of ways I could be viewing this. I'm gonnna say they all got to be a part of a winning organization and know what it takes to build a winning atmosphere and leave it at that for now lol.

yeah thats for sure a plus considering he probably knows what each guy is worth and obviously is the reason they're coming. Hopefully the trend continues when someone important has to leave them
