I love this
Guys, it wasn't anything important. It was a booking agency I contacted a few times last year and I send them 1 email this morning regarding a band that is unknown for you guys. But he says not to post anything in a public forum so I won't. Just wanted to make sure what his message meaned.
I don't want to risk any persons job for doing something he asked me not to do. He probably has his reasons. Maybe someone from Bonnaroo complained last year about the amount of leaked bands via booking agencies.
But he says not to post anything in a public forum so I won't.
Then next time don't post that you have a contact who responded to you but you can't say the band. It's a tease and you know that.
I still think their response makes it sound like nothing is set in stone. They would likely play Bonnaroo if asked. The "talking about" stuff could mean internally with the band or talking with Bonnaroo.
Anyway....don't tease us with inside info that you can't share
Wow, really didn't think that would come together. I wonder just how many of them will be there.
There is still time for it to fall apart/be cancelled
Also, this is recent:
Masta Killa confirmed that Wu-Tang Clan reunion is still a certainty even though it might be taking the group a little longer to organize a project than fans might like. The rapper also added that he was looking forward to representing the Wu-Tang again.
Masta Killa explained that the group was like a family and hinted that while they might not have pulled everyone together at the same time, they keep close contact with one another. “The reunion already started, man. You know what I’m saying? That’s something natural. That’s like coming home for Thanksgiving,” Masta Killa told SOHH before adding, “Sometimes all the family shows up, sometimes you might be missing a brother and you’re like, ‘Ah man! It would have been the bomb if he had came.’ You know?”
A reunion might not entail pulling the group together at the same time, but according to Masta Killa a return of the Wu-Tang in some form is just a matter of time. “We’re gonna do what we do naturally but I’m definitely looking forward to bringing it all back together and holding up the ‘W’ again. Whenever that comes, just know it’s coming. Just know it’s coming,” said Masta Killah.
Raekwon was one of the last members of the group to speak about a potential reunion and explained that so far the potential re-up was still being discussed adding that nothing solid had been planned.
Saw Wu-Tang last year in Chicago and most members were actually able to make it. Think it's very likely 'Roo gets a nicely loaded Clan if that becomes finalized. RZA, Meth, Raekwon, and I believe GZA were all on stage for that show. One of the best live shows in terms of crowd and performance energy I've ever seen. Meth is an absolute performer, can't wait to see them again if they roll down to TN
