So, newb question here for The Hangout Fest. When do tickets usually go on sale? I know I missed the early bird sale, but I've reserved a condo and really need to make sure I get tickets. So, do they usually go on sale when the lineup is announced? And how soon do they sell out (like, within minutes or within days/weeks)?
Usually the weekend after the lineup is released...so this coming weekend most likely. As far as selling out, I have the same concerns as I haven't gotten a ticket yet. Last year the tickets were gone after only two weeks I believe, and I would expect it to sell out even faster this year due to the popularity of this fest going through the roof. I'll be getting tickets as soon as i'm allowed to, and I suggest you do the same. I give it a week to sell out this year, provided the lineup is halfway decent.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.

So once again if Macca isn't headlining the HO then who will be the biggest named performer there. I have no problems with Kings of Leon and Muse or Green Day but man they would be such a let down as far as a headliner goes. How do you go from DMB and RHCP to KOL and Green Day. Any chance we could see a Hootie reunion heard they were talking about touring again?

Hootie could play, but wouldn't be close to headlining.

Hootie hasn't been big enough to headline this fest since '97.
Not getting Macca would be a massive disappointment at this point, because there's just been so much speculation. Petty was favorite coming out of Black Friday. If Macca isn't on the bill, I'm 80% sure Petty will be.
Soundgarden | Green Day | deadmau5 on the beach | TAB (2 sets)
Soundgarden is up north that weekend, unfortunately.
They're in Jersey the 18th and Ohio the 17th or 19th. I think two festival paydays will lead them to making arrangements to lug their gear around. A band at their level is used to flying from show to show. Their gear? I think it's possible when the money is right. That's my guess, probably wrong, but I'm going Colbert here and sticking with my gut. I'm basing this mainly off of Cornell's spot on the main stage last year and Soundgarden's lack of shows in the SE since the reunion.
Im seeing a lot of people saying TAB(x2) is this just speculation or do you people know something I dont cause that would be sick on the beach.
Most everything in this thread is speculation besides three minor leaks that are in the updated OP. This is mainly a pissing contest between people in one of three camps: Black Friday rumor, Macca rumor, personal wishlist.
Has anybody heard about late night shows this year? Last year was my first HO, and I was pretty disappointed to find out there wouldn't be any late night shows like in 2011.
Theyre headlining Jazz Fest- they won't be there (proximity clauses- from what I have heard)
as for Soundgarden- they are impossible 17th- Ohio (separate from ROTR) 18th- NJ 19th- ROTR
If the Avett Bros are not there I will be very surprised due to their block of open dates..not as a headliner by any means but potentially in that ES spot of Sunday

They will be in Orange Beach again unless they made a deal with the locals regarding sound curfew.

If the Tuesday tradition sticks and they follow last years lead of doing a headliner + more to come tomorrow announcement, we will know a headliner today.
Elev8 throw them another fake and lets get this ball rolling haha
What about The Stone Roses? Could they headline HO?
Yes, but I'm not sure if hangout has the balls to books something like that. Don't see them booking The Cure or Bjork either, but I would love for them to change it up with something like that.
If this lineup is as HUGE as everyone is murmuring about, is Furthur too crazy to really consider? They could be considered the "legacy" also
Not at all. Furthur could be a very legit possibility as a Sunday headliner. Or I could see them as the fourth billed and performing 2 sets similar to SCI last year if they are on the lineup.
