I've never been on a cruise, and I think the lineup is pretty solid, but this would end up costing me more than going to actual Coachella. I guess I'll have to taste wine with James Murphy some other time.

Given that it leaves out of Florida, it will be interesting to see how this sells. I would imagine a lot of their usual audience won't cross over to this. Think of it as a miniature Coachella for the east coast/Atlantic.
I was trying to convince my wife on going to Moogfest. It looks like I may have to switch gears. I know these cruise fests have been done before, but this is the most solid lineup I've seen from these things.
Um, this looks amazing. It would be cheaper for me to do the Bahamas leg of this than actually going to coachella. I would need to get a passport, but I should have one anyways.

Yeah, this is the first time it's really been done properly. This seems like some kind of crackpot idea I would come up with after eating some corn. Hell, who knows, maybe that's how the idea originated.
It sounds like a great idea (the kind of vacation I would want), but I'm still meh on it. I do like a lot of the artists, but I would need to see maybe 2-3 more great acts added before I would even consider dropping the money this year.
Haha, very good point. A cruise to Hawaii would take way too long. Unless they just wander around aimlessly on the ocean, which admittedly, I wouldn't mind.
This was off a link from Owl and Bear - and it's a progressive site so sure it's biased, but I was intrigued to find Coachella among the interests listed. But I guess everything is an affiliate of AEG.

God, I knew I loved this festival. Good on them.
Really, who gives a sh*t?
I mean, I give a sh*t generally, but this is an extremely tedious connection.
Coachella Music & Arts Festival is an affiliate of AEG, whose parent company Anschutz Corporation is run by Philip Anschutz. He has made many political donations, including a $50,000 to the Boehner-linked Congressional Leadership Fund Super PAC.
I'm gonna fly into San Diego and ride up to the fest with friends.
It is pretty damn earlier to buy a plane ticket, don't you think? What if you have to bail? I would at least wait until after Xmas to buy a plane ticket.
I'm not bailing. And I have the money to buy a plane ticket now, but I haven't bought it yet. Probably will in October when my buddy can buy his. Mostly just curious where everyone is flying into. I've already said this but my buddy and I are doing Vegas then renting a car and driving to Indio.

Definitely too early to buy plane tickets if you're looking for a bargain, the sweet spot is about 2-3 months out from your travel. That's when prices are typically cheapest.

I flew into San Diego this year and it was half the price of flying to LA, not even close to how expensive flying into Palm Springs was. Probably doing the same thing next year.
