I am also going to try for the Alabama Shakes/Diamond Rug show. Also will be checking out Carolina Chocolate Drops and Amadou & Mariam shows in August. I might try for Inner Circle as well to make up for the lack of reggae at roo this year.
All the shows previously mentioned are on the top of my list.. but If I take a day off work to head down to the city, I'd need to make sure that I have friends there to make it worth it. *hint hint nudge nudge* Post here if any official plans are made!
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

That Inner Circle show has The Mighty Diamonds on the bill. That's gonna be a great show. Mighty Diamonds are one of my 3 favorite reggae bands ever.

I'll know more next month if it's possible for me to go.

I am going to do Carolina Chocolate Drops and Amadou and Mariam for sure. The Alabama Shakes Show is a maybe right now. I have a chance to see them at Newport or Bonnaroo as well, but Diamond Rug might get me there.

I purchased tickets to Avett Bros today for Rumsey Playfield -- Sept 18th. My second concert in central park. First was --- wait for it --- Garth Brooks. It was actually a really fun show.

Sooooo It's not on the list because the OP is a slack-ass but I'm headed up for Guided By Voices/War On Drugs/Cloud Nothings/Pains Of Being Pure At Heart on Saturday,July 7th.
It just makes sense to me. I have no IDEA how this works. It's a free show but it's part of the CBGB festival as well.
I'm going to be in the city tomorrow for a meeting with Nike (which was supposed to be today which is why I didn't go to the store but it got moved last minute) thinking about hitting up das racist because they killed it at roo. Also want to go to comedy central thing on wed as well anyone going to these? I can't get any of my friends to go

As long as they don't sell tickets for that particular event it is first come first served. Be sure to check where the show is actually playing because they are holding summerstage events throughout the 5 boros

Hmm I need to see what I can do to go! I actually have taken that day off because it was a friend's law school grad party which recently got switched. But that also means that my family will be expecting me to be in Queens for their 4th of July party. I wonder how I can manage to finagle my way out?

I've never been good at getting out of stuff like that. That's why I never go.
Just come and it will be an awesome time had by all. Except this time I got no Mrs. GL. We all know she is more important anyways.
