All the venues with aftershows last year were in the Red River District downtown. I had no trouble getting into any of the ones I went to and I left after the last act every night except Sunday. I'm really not sure if they sell tickets to non festival attendees for these shows. It seems like they would.

I'd never judge... that's badass.
I've been suspecting they might add 1 more Orange stage headliner. My thinking: they added Spoon last year, so it wouldn't be unprecedented to add someone on the top line of a stage, and they only have 2 names on the top line of that stage while they have 3 at the top of Black and Blue.
That said, I have no idea who they might add in that spot. Iron & Wine? Just going on the Austin band thing that they might get at the last minute to sell some extra tickets.
I think another DJ or electronic act or 2 is coming also. I'm not even going to try to guess, but someone from the Moogfest or FYF lineup wouldn't be a terrible guess. Sleigh Bells seems like a possible fit.
Bump for what I believe to be the best festival lineup of Fall 2012. We have to wait until October for the schedule according to the site. Does anyone know if they give a who is playing on what days breakdown before that? Or is this something we are going to have to figure out for ourselves? tentative inforooers attending list: Longinus, caddyshaq, Yo Soy JBoy, roohippielove, FuzzyWarbles, EAP, jigawig, rideincircles, and a couple of maybes.

in past years they have told us what days people are playing on beforehand.
the only thing is, i thought it would have happened by now b/c last year i didn't buy a wknd pass b/c friday's bands weren't enough for me to take off work.
Yeah, it also says single day tickets available in October. It seems like if they are waiting that long, then they are working on some more artist additions.

Holy crap - did you see their claim on Facebook that they're adding 60+ bands to the lineup?

long i think you are going to fall head over heels for FFF. probably one of the easiest maneuvered fests i've ever been to. my only complaint last year was the dust, but i have a feeling (knock on wood) they will have that under control this year. plus austin is the best.
Well, luckily the beer is free and I will be given a "Nautical Bandana" to protect my lungs from a potential dust storm. Should I pick up a pair of motorcycle goggles just to be on the safe side? If I don't need them, I can just stow them away in my Custom Chrome Fanny Pack!

Most of the time night shows are bands that are already playing FFF though, don't it? I say it'll be at least half n half.
Yeah, I figured some of those had to be nite shows, but like you said, I think those always come from the FFF roster.
So maybe they meant 60+ new shows to announce rather than bands, with 25-30 of those being on the FFF bill and the remainder being nite shows of existing roster + additions.

I got a great response from funfunfunfest off twitter regarding the dust last year before the fest.
rideincircles like maximus, we will gladly rub the dust in our palms before battle. It will give us strength.
I don't think the dust will be near as bad as last year. The year before it rained also so anything is possible. I don't think I will be hitting the PIP this year unless there is a cheap upgrade. Most of the unlimited beer was corporate type beers. They had one place that had newcastle and it wasn't free, so that's what I spent my money in. I did spot lots of dust in the bottom of my beers and didn't care very much.
I have pictures in my facebook link below if anyone wants to check them out.
Just fyi: to anyone who liked Crystal Castles, be sure to check out Trust, they will kill the dance party for the weekend.

I love the snarky replies FFF gives. Someone who entered the guess the lineup contest got something like "Yeah, like you had a chance in hell" when they went to check results.

That was me. I laughed a lot on that. I love the fact they don't take themselves so seriously.

Am I just daft, or is there a significant difference between those 2 posters? On second thought, maybe not... the orders are so different and the formatting so difficult to grasp that I'm just overwhelmed.
I really don't know what to make of this. Haha someone tell me what to think.

Their website has now been updated with the ones that were missing earlier. I guess that's what I get for taking screenshot before they actually announced it on fb. That is weird that the order is completely different though.
well, I think my nites are planned! I definitely want to see King Tuff & The Intelligence since I will be missing their nola show because I'll be on the road to Austin. That will be saturday night.

I've seen Peelander Z so many times that I have no problem missing them. I've only seen Black Tusk once and they were incredible. I've never seen King Tuff. And We I will see Deafheaven, Seeweed, and Dwarves at the actual fest during the day.
