I'm having a hard time gauging how big a deal a (2/3) Run DMC show is to the layperson... is this the sort of thing that could raise FFFF's profile and generate buzz beyond the music/festival scene?
I know it's exciting to me, but I'm just trying to understand if it's going to be a draw for people who wouldn't normally consider this fest.
tomahawk has sold me for this fest (only seen peeping tom at coachella 07 and faith no more at coachella 10)...last year was my first time going, and i had a blast!!! def can't wait...just undecided if i want to do a reg ticket or the PIP

I bought some discounted tickets earlier during one of the pre-sales, but I might have to splurge on the PIP tickets. For another $180 I could have free beer all weekend, 2 free meals a day, cool swag, and be (theoretically) in a great spot for Run-DMC, Tomahawk, Edward Sharpe, EITS, etc.
Ugh, I have a feeling I'm going to talk myself into this...

funfunfunfest.com/nites So the website says that your FFF pass gets you into any late nite show for free as long as the venue is not at capacity when you arrive. ~Does anyone know exactly how soon that happens? Do people leave the fest and head directly to the show they want to go to and have no problem getting in? Or do you need to leave the fest a little early to ensure you get in? ~If they sell tickets to these events to people that didn't go to the fest, do they ever sell out and not allow anyone with fest passes in? ~How many venues participate in having late nite shows? Are they all downtown or within reasonable walking distance from the festival?
The Felice Brothers, Glass Candy, Dead Confederate, Kool Keith, The Thermals, Ty Segall, Dom, Royal Bangs, Grimes, Syd The Kyd DJing (OFWGKTA), Andre Williams, Earth Crisis, Sleepercar, Jesse Malin, Underground Railroad to Candyland, Toxic Holocaust, Coathangers, Babies (2/3 of Vivian Girls), Widowspeak, Cobra Skulls, Nothington, Memoryhouse, Passion Pit DJ set, Inepsy, Hull, The quacking Wrath, Canon Blue, Old Man Markley, Delicate Steve, ANR, Yellow Ostrich, Pat Jordache, Deafhaven, Tera Melos, Generationals, Front Buttons, Cowboy and Indian, Future Rock, DJ Thiabault, Bearhands, Pujol, Barreracudas, Ch. 24, Neon Indian DJ set, Check Yo Ponytail party, Learning Secrets, Powertrip, Mammoth Grinder, Ghost Knife, Ancient VVisdom, Gill Landry (Old Crowe Medicine Show), David Liebe Hart Band (of Tim and Eric Awesome Show), Ume, Boris, Ceremony, Russian Circles, Cold Cave, Doomriders, Mates Of State, Thee Oh Sees, Zero Boys, Purity Ring, Total Control, Keep Shelly In Athens, Lemuria, Touche Amore, Big Freedia, Budos Band, Austra DJ set, Trash Talk, Deathgrips.
I really want a Tomahawk late nite show, but I will settle for a BTBAM one.
