Budd was my go-to zone out music,at the record store. Think jazz mixed with ambient new-age.. It's not going to be a packed show, esp. if it's him and a piano.
Pavilion Of Dreams is probably my personal favorite.

If I remember correctly, they added Terry Riley like that too. Seeing stuff like this is part of what makes Moogfest so special to me. It's an opportunity to see someone that I probably won't get another chance to see again.

Moogfest posted a video from Harold Budd and Clive Wright. Given their track record of video teasers this year, it was assumed that this was a hint toward one or both being added to this line-up.
Edit: Moogfest's response saying not to take the post "too literally" makes me think one or the other and not both.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Alright! MF Spaceman is back! "No one told me my twitter account wouldn't work in that other galaxy. Rest assured, I have returned. Who's stoked for @moogfest 2012?"

I discovered Harold Budd's music a little over 20 years ago when he collaborated with the Cocteau Twins (as "Moon and the Melodies"). It was an absolutely fantastic release:
As a possible update on the time that the festivities will be going on, The Orange Peel has created facebook events for Moogfest on Friday and Saturday: 6 PM - 2 AM
"What do a renowned avant-garde composer, a buzzy California alt hip-hop act and a dub techno maestro have in common? They’re joining the Moogfest lineup on Monday. Let the guessing begin!"
I want it to be Blu & Exile so badly. Exile is a killer on the MPC and on general orchestration.
But I'm going to go through my Cali music and see if I can pick out anymore hip-hoppers who are electronics heavy. Also I bet you that avant-garde is your Harold Budd fellow; techno is usually more of a reach back into the 90's type act - no guesses so far
