My six year old and dog did great! I was impressed. Caleb worried me on the rocks running about, but he liked it and wants to know when we are hiking again! <3 A much needed workout for me fo' sho'.

Caleb did do great! I'm glad he enjoyed it so much. Now to plan our next adventure.
I'm thinking of doing some sort of hiking every two weeks or so. I know with busy schedules that not everyone will be able to attend every time, but hopefully it will give everyone more options to be able to participate in some of the hikes.
I'd like to check out Beaman Park as Julie suggested. It's north of Nashville in the Joelton area. Here's a PDF of the trail maps/info:
All the trails are marked as "moderate" difficulty. I'm thinking we could meet at the Nature Center (I always love the Nature Centers) and start on the 0.6 mile Sedge Hill Trail and continue onto the 2 mile Henry Hollow Loop. Then we'd do the 0.6 mile Sedge Hill Trail back to the Nature Center. This would be 3.2 miles.
I'm going to set the tentative date to either Saturday, March 10th or Sunday, March 11th. The date will depend on the weather.

The trail at South Cumberland looks nice. I should have time to stop by there on the way to Bonnaroo. I'm hoping to do Unitus Fest in Gruetli-Laager the weekend before, and it looks like it's right on the way to Manchester from there. :-)

That Unitus Fest looks cool! Might have to see if we can check that out.
So far the weather for next weekend is looking good. As the weekend approaches we will pick which day to hike. Can't wait to get out in nature again.
Also, just a heads up. I think we might be planning a camping trip at Stone Door. We're looking at the weekend of March 31-April 1. Anyone interested. Last time I was at Stone Door the camping was free.
ooooh, Stone Door is at South Cumberland? We're probably out for that, then. Spring break will have a Kentucky trip in there, and the first is Al's birthday so I'll want to spend that with him.
Hey Saturday is only 30% and not stormy! Be optimistic! If we can't let's have dinner somewhere tasty, or I can cook something that will feed everyone, like lasagna.
